Rancid's seventh studio album is currently untitled and scheduled to be released sometime in 2008.

The band has spent nearly three years in and out of the studio working on this album. Its release has been delayed numerous times since the announcement in November 2005, stating that they had begun working on it. The new album was originally due for release sometime in 2006, then spring 2007, summer/fall 2007 and now simply 2008. Because of the delays, all members of the band had been busy supporting their own projects since the 2004 hiatus.

The follow-up to Indestructible will also be the band's first album recorded with drummer Branden Steineckert (of The Used), who is the replacement of original member Brett Reed. This would be the first time Rancid had not recorded an album with the "classic" line-up since their 1993 self-titled debut.

Well, it'd be kinda hard to be worse.

Even me when I was in 8th grade, still liking that whole genre of music, thought that Indestructible was a horrible cd.

Cool, can't wait for it to drop, and lets hope its more Life Won't Wait, or even Self-Titled then like Indestructible. I wouldn't really call Indestructible a bad record, just a sub-par effort for a band like Rancid.

Which self-titled? They have two.

I don't think Indestructble was that bad, in fact, I kinda liked it. Rancid won't let us down with this.

Tim Armstrong's singing has gotten shittier than ever. He should just hand lead vocals over to Lars Frederiksen,

How have his vocals changed? A Poet's Life sucked majorly but he's still got it. Rancid wouldn't be Rancid if only Lars sang.

His vocals were just much better (Still not great) on ...And Out Come the Wolves.

I loved A Poet's Life, so I might have some hopes for this. I really do hope they look back on Life Won't Wait.

If anything "new Rancid" comes out sounding like - or looking like the video for - "Fall Back Down", we may be in trouble. Was that a member of Good Charolette I saw in there?

I think he did a traditional-esque reggae song. I love it when he does, he makes those sound so good.

I don't mind the song, but Matt should stay away from the mic.
