Can anyone recomend a good comedian? I only know a fair share, and I'm in the mood for a good laugh.

I missed that the first time because I skipped his post, but now that it's brought to attention, the hilarity ensued.

I saw a one-hour special of Bob Saget which was alright up until the songs. I then changed the channel to watch Degrassi: The Next Generation = BEST show EVERRRRR. <33333333333333333333333333

I hope that wasn't sarcasm. But I'm glad someone noticed, I was worried people actually thought I was serious.

If I was being serious I would have done this:

Dylan Moran.
Bill Hicks.

I agree with this guy.

Me too.

He's really underrated as a comedian.

Bill Hicks and Sarah Silverman are great.

Lately I've really gotten into Ron White. I know Blue Collar sucks and all but he's like 10 times funnier than those other goons combined.

I was going to get angry until you said this:

I hope that wasn't sarcasm. But I'm glad someone noticed, I was worried people actually thought I was serious.

btw, Jim Gaffigan (beyond the pale in particular) and George lopez are two of the funniest stand up acts I've seen in my life. Who knew that Hot Pockets were so funny!

Also, very honorable mention goes to Daniel Tosh because he's sick and demented and strange and amazing and strange and hilarious.

Ron White's much funnier than the color of his collar would lead you to believe. I thought Dane Cook was surprisingly overrated - I expected to like him much more than I actually did.

Demetri Martin is pure comedy.

Dane Cook is one of the worst fucking stand-ups ever. He makes Carlos Mencia look good. He makes Billy Connolly look... well, still terrible, but not quite as terrible. That being said, I don't know why people on this board froth at the mouth over Mencia. He's bad, sure, but he's not as mind-blowingly bad as other wildly popular stand-ups I could name.

Anyways, I actually saw a Chopper Read stand-up routine once. It was... interesting. It wasn't at all funny, but people were too scared not to laugh. I guess those are the breaks when one of his punchlines was "So then I came up behind him and rammed an eight-inch carving knife right up his rectum. Prison-rape that, you greasy Macedonian faggot!"

I dont. I think both of them are very funny, even though Leary uses much of Hick's material.
Leary's attitude fits great with his jokes, some which he has stolen from Bill Hicks. I still think he is funny. Just watch ''lock n load''. It is full of Learys own material.

What makes Hicks great is that he makes people think. Though Leary is more of a mainstream-entertainer.

Hicks makes me think and laugh.
Leary makes me laugh even harder.

Wheres the humor in that?
