when you listen to music, do you think about it really carefully, or kinda let it in the backroudn. cause right now im trying to think about it really carefully, and i have a feeling im not listening to it right

It's music, you just enjoy it.

Depends on what I'm doing.

I listen to it very carefully.
If I have friends at home I usually put my iPod on random songs and leave the music as a background...but that would be one of the few cases.

I like listening to music best when doing mundane tasks like washing up. The music has almost my full concentration and it's also really good for listening to music I'm unfamiliar with (I get too impatient usually, if I'm not enjoying the song). I have wet hands so I can't change the track, so I have to get used to it. And generally, begin to like it.

It really depends on what mood I'm in, and what kind of music it is.

background because my thoughts tend to make all sound fade to oblivion

This is one of those things I feel I could write at length about, but judging by the thread so far, no one would actually care.

Let's just say it changes.

Depends on my mood, I just got dumped so I've got She's Got Issues on as a background song to help me wallow in self pity :D Happy?

i listen carefully for the most part but when i go to be i let my mp3 player just run through a giant playlist it helps me get to sleep its more of a backround thing at that point.
