Here's how it works: someone requests a song or album, and someone else who has it uploads it. I've seen this on other boards and it's always one of the most active threads on the place, and it's also an amazing place to discover new music that you haven't heard before.

First request: Semisonic- Closing Time.

Also, just to start off the uploads, I offer you one of my favorite songs:

The Mountain Goats- The Best Ever Death Metal Band In Denton. (http://www.sendspace.com/file/14on6b)

If this is true, I'd love to have Curtis as well, so thank you uploading. But if you have any empty CDs you can burn it on, that could work, and then you just upload those on your computer, and upload those new songs. That's what I sometimes have to do. BTW the songs are all out of order because Savefile's ordering system appears to be entirely random. So here's the correct track listing:

2. Polyanna
3. Live Here Without You
4. 1000 Times
5. All American World
6. Radio Prayer Line
7. New Pop Sunday

9. When You're On Fire Baby, Roll
10. Disconnected
11. Lucky

I really recommend Planet of Ice. I don't usually recommend starting with a band's newest album, but it's really good and I think they're just sort of perfecting their style that they'll probably carry with them for the rest of their careers. They played more or less the same kind of stuff on Menos El Oso and sort of on They Make Beer Commercials Like This, but Planet of Ice is more solid on the whole. They sound like they've grown into themselves.

That said, their older stuff (Highly Refined Pirates and even some stuff off their weird first couple of EPs) definitely has its own sort of charm.

That's my main problem with it, that it ruins the flow of the album because it sounds so out of place. On its own it's not bad, but I still don't think it's up to par with a lot of their other stuff. Although, considering their last two albums have a total of like 12 songs that range from "one of the best songs ever" to "the best song ever" in my mind, hearing a song that's not quite on that level right next to a few others that are makes it seem weaker than it actually is.

I do have Confessions on a Dancefloor, though I haven't listened to it yet so I don't know if it's good.

Thank you so much! I'd appreciate it big time.

If your friend has any Chumbawamba, I could die happy. Holy crap.

This needs more attention, so get it while it lasts!

I had to make a thread about them because they are one of my favourite bands ever (in the top four, precisely), and they've finally released a new album after four years and I'm very excited about it. Indie-folk-punk-country-rock-pop. Mellow. Rockin'. Happy. Soothing. Extremely well-written lyrics. Here are a few songs from their new album, Reunion Tour. They only get better after a few listens.

I have Reunion Tour (I downloaded it when I was browsing through albums someone uploaded, then I found out that it hadn't come out yet), but I haven't listened to more than the first song.

I try to listen to albums all the way through, I just keep having to stop right after the first song/during the second one. I've heard Civil Twilight at LEAST five times.

Exactly!

ASOB broke up about 3 weeks ago. I was kinda bummed out about it, until I realized they broke up simply because BTMI! is just so much better and they've basically morphed into one band.
