I'm extremely bored with the music I have, so I need songs with constant, catchy hooks. I don't care how mainstream it is or anything, I just need it bad! Please say ANYTHING! Because music is really starting to bore me lately.

I will tell you one of the most awesomist songs in the universe. You ready?

Reach for the Sky by Social Distortion. Great lyrics, great melody, great everything. You haven't lived unless you heard it.

Thin Lizzy.
There's always some extremely good harmonized guitar hooks going on, for the most part a very up-beat and catchy band too, though they obviously have their ballads and stuff.

Between this post and the one about watching the Man Show, you're definitely ZagmenO, and not his sister.

Women watch that show, too. :(

And what's "ZagmenO-ish" about that other post?

The new album by the Mae Shi is nothing but memorable tracks. Shit gets under your skin hard.

Anything by pre-Challengers New Pornographers will get stuck in your head as well. Pretty tight, wall-to-wall, really fucking fruity though.

If you wanna get even sissier, there's always Belle & Sebastian.

The Go! Team are catchy bastards. Dance, sucka!

Spoon are my all-purpose party group. They're the type of shit you can shake your ass or just sit and contemplate a groove to.

Parliament, of course. Actually, try the entire funk genre, that should be it.

If all this shit fails, listen to any non-covers by the early Beatles (like from 1966 or earlier). Nothing but hooks there.

Specifically stuff off Mass Romantic. Holy shit.

But I go back to Lucky Boys Confusion. Every song is catchy in a whole different way. I'll upload Throwing the Game later; amazing CD.

I just uploaded some Jimmy Eat World, New Pornographers, and Lucky Boys Confusion in the music sharing thread. I recommend getting "Futures" by Jimmy Eat World, "Mass Romantic" by The New Pornographers, and definitely definitely definitely the Lucky Boys Confusion album.
