Don't these retards know that they shouldn't be putting sick and/or injured cows through the slaughter thingamajig? This is the 3rd recall that I know of! Also, anyone who has eaten beef within the last week could have mad cow, and the disease doesn't usually take effect until about 20 years after it has been consumed.

In short, incompetency=more food recalls. Discuss!

Mad Cow disease as a concept absolutely terrifies me, but not enough to actually stop eating beef.

yeah, not surprised. *shudder* however, it seems that anytime anyone points out that the meat industry in this country is fucking horrible and disgusting, they get written off as whiny hippy bleeding hearts.

Rock on!!! I'm gonna keep eating beef on a regular basis regardless of any setbacks! Besides, the chances of actually getting the disease are incredibly slim and they're not even sure if these cows even have it. Also, it's almost barbecue season, so what the hell?

I thought you had to eat part of the cows brains or something of that ilk to catch mad cow disease. Makes you wonder what they put in sausages all over again.

I was reading about a way to create biodiesel that exposed organic waste (and even nonorganic waste like plastics, anything carbon based) to heat and pressure and created diesel from it. And they can use the carcasses of mad cow cows even and create clean, disease-free diesel.
