View Full Version : The SPP

Recently, I discovered an issue that involves not only my rights, but every rights of every person in North America. Of course, I'm speaking about The SPP (http://www.ndp.ca/stopthespp), also known as the North America Union.

Basically, if you haven't heard of it, what it is is Canada, The US, and Mexico merge their policies, economy, rights, and laws so that they become more like one. They'll go so far as to bring in a new currency: The Amero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amero). More importantly (to me), with a Conservative Canadian government, Canadians will have to give up some of their freedoms as to which we call our own: health care, security, etc.

If some of you have seen the movie Zeitgeist (http://www.surfthechannel.com/info/Movies/Movies_all/36512/ZEITGEIST+-+The+Movie.html?aid=29540), then you know that there is potentially more to it. I don't know if I should take that for a grain of salt or not, but I for one don't want to take any chances with whatever freedom I have left as a Canadian. In fact, there are nation-wide (http://www.spptruthwinnipeg.mb.ca/) protests (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S1nHvvkzvA) being held against the fact that it is being imposed rather than debated. It shows that there is an obvious, major concern here in Canada.

So, what I want to know is, what do you know about this? What does your community know about this? What is your take on it?

This is just a small piece to the puzzle, and if you don't know about it, then go and find out about it. This isn't an issue that should be neglected.

Well, someone (http://youtube.com/watch?v=MnMBgydcrVo) really wants this to happen.

The North American Union has been rumored ever since NAFTA came out, and has picked up steam because of the European Union's progressed integration. However, it is only an urban legend (http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/nau.asp).

It is nothing more than a conspiracy theory. Rest easy. What is interesting to me is how effective the internet seems to be in spreading conspiracy theories.

Yeah, I kind of figured that. But it's good to have stuff confirmed. Though, it doesn't stop the fact that Canada is trying to get on similar grounds on policies with The US. For me, that's bad.

I'm surprised Jack Layton doesn't have more important things to worry about, such as trimming that mustache of his. But yeah, I wouldn't lose much sleep over this North American Union thing, leave that to the Ron Paul supporters.
