Lemme tell ya, I made the mutton chops cool again in 2005!

I agree whole heartidly with your suggestions Jakebert. Except cigars never became uncool.

I'd like to add the cane. Afterall what is a tophat without one.
In fact, the whole top hat, cane, and cloak ensemble.

It seems to me that Jakebert just wants to be a rich man from 200 years ago.

Cigars are still cool. Canes are still cool. I saw a top hat in H&M once, it was awesome. Don't know why I didn't buy it.

a friend of mine recently started watching house. a few nights ago he started up the torrent for season two of house. when he checked on it in the morning he realized it was at 27% (awesome!) and that the torrent was not titled "full House M.D. season 2" but in fact "Full House season 2".

What can I say, that era is just a fun era. The snazzy cloathing, the slang, ect. just interests me. Plus, I've worn a top hat and a monocle, and looked pretty damn cool.

I am dreadfully sorry but none of you are cool.

EDIT - not that I don't like y'all or anything, but this thread is lame and boring and unless you have a pimp cane it's not worth thinking about. Bathrobes and purses are more awesome. Like so:

i'm not sure if stupid t-shirts were ever *cool* =p

My friends and I went through a phrase that whenever we went out we wore a shirt and tie. I miss those days.

Oh, and the days when I could wear a pink & black outfit and get away with it.

Sunny

Those slogan shirts are still quite popular among greasy fat kids with pube mustaches.

Well hop on.

I used to have a big thing for pink a few years back. Had a fucking deadly outfit of pink shoes, black trousers, pink belt, black shirt, pink tie ... actually that sounds pretty hideous. Ah well, I was drunk pretty much every time I wore it so I worked it.

If interpreted incorrectly, this could be one of the more vulgar things you ever said Andy.

Shame on you!

Some of my friends went through a phase of doing that.
I also remember the 'tie-die t-shirt' phase.

Smash
Head over heals I‘ve fit in before
Now I don‘t want to do it no more
I‘ve held it all in with blood on my face
Built it up man so bad you can taste
I don‘t slag no one
I don‘t even judge
Don‘t give a shit cause I‘m not gonna budge
I just want to be who I want to be
Guess that‘s hard for others to see
I‘m not a trendy asshole
I do what I want
I do what I feel like
I‘m not a trendy asshole
I don‘t give a fuck if it‘s good enough for you
Cause I‘m alive
Smash is the way you feel all alone
Like an outcast you‘re out on your own
Smash is the way you deal with your life
Like an outcast you‘re smashing your strife
Head over heals I‘ve fit in before
Now I don‘t want to do it no more
I just want to be who I want to be
Guess that‘s hard for others to see

Because it looked retarded on you.

I've started wearing this really long coat my grandfather had. I've decided I really like long coats, almost like knee-length sportscoats but a little more casual.

Braces....

wheelchairman

sock garters...?

And dude Maria's right, the proper term is suspenders. Cause when you said braces, I immediately though:

Andy

Over here they are braces, suspenders are what women wear to keep up stockings.

MrJoe
02-23-2008, 07:34 AM
Yeah, what Andy said.

wheelchairman
02-23-2008, 07:37 AM
Nah it's cool. You guys can support the comeback of braces as much as you want.

EDIT: Maria, sock garters are a social taboo in most places. (reserved for the elderly). Unless you are going to store a tiny gun in them.

02-23-2008, 07:52 AM
Yea. I wouldn't ever want to have braces on my teeth ever again. They're annoying, they hurt, you can't eat anything too hard or too chewy, and we have Invisalign now!

Hooray for technology!!!

Jakebert
02-23-2008, 09:34 AM
From armchairs to clothing, the elderly know what's comfy.

There's an excellent joke in here somewhere, but I'm busy blow-drying my hair. Get to it, folks.

I fucking love garters, they must be the sexiest thing in the world. Besides they make even the ugliest legs look like a model's legs. They are magical. But I wouldn't want them back, they don't look comfortable. Stockings with silicon bands are much better. Not that I ever used them...

O agree with anyone who said 50's hair and clothes. It disgusts me to see 80's fugly clothes on every women.

Oh, and I heard that faggotry was pretty popular in this land once. It would be sweet to see it back. Seriously.
