I think I may have found a new "best movie ever":

sounds like a bad knock-off of this film which debuted a year earlier.

I haven't been graced with that honor.

From IMDB:

"Plot Outline: A Japanese investigator (Morita) and a Detroit cop (Leno) team up to track down a stolen prototype turbocharger."

Oh yes.

Still, this will always hold a special place in my heart.

My friend bought it in high school for the case, but decided that watching it would destroy its kitsch value, so we hit upon a solution that would allow us to see it without ruining the mystery. I've watched it twice and I still have no idea what goes on, except that within the first five minutes, a border patrol agent gets vaporized, leaving behind only a pair of smoking loafers.

I own this movie. It's great.

The chase scene at the end is just classic.

The best, however, was Jingle All the Way.

Abraxas comes pretty close. You get to hear Jesse Ventura tell someone that his "box has VD".

Here's a movie people haven't mentioned yet. Sure no famous people (Well Kelly Carlson and her tits!) but definitely worth seeing...just to say you have. It came as part of a box set for me...

Also here's another film with famous people....poor poor famous people...

I can't believe I didn't see this thread before. The title is basically bait for me. And you can't tell from the picture lodat posted, but the movie is actually called Hercules in New York.

Ah, so *that's* what that movie was! I saw a bit of it on Chinese state television about a week ago. I wish this thread had popped up just a few days earlier, or I would have bothered to watch the whole thing.

Still, you get some pretty fantastic old-school Hong Kong movies over here. So far the best one I've seen is Aces Go Place 2

This reminds me, my school does live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera some weekends, and yesterday I found out that a month or two ago, I missed Patrick Stewart as Macbeth.

Patrick Stewart was actually a recognized Shakespearian actor long before he did star trek.

I know, but that's not how I think of him, since that's not where I first saw him.

I've seen Hercules in New York. Arnold is billed as "Arnold Strong" and they dub over his voice.
It's even better/worse than you can imagine.

Word is, on the DVD you can get listen to the undubbed version, and he's nearly incomprehensible.
