Today is Douglas Adams' Birthday. My history teacher writes the day's birthdays on the board every day from history/modern recognition, and he was up there. I said something about liking him, and he made the comment that I was the only person all day who knew who Adams was.

This made me think. Adams had a good bit of success in his day, and continues to have some, but two or three decades from now, who's going to remember him? Not very many, I'd wager, at least not of the generation in charge.

Rather than this just be a "omg hbd Douglas!" thread, list your personal list of people who are bound to be forgotten but don't deserve it at all (I know that sounds weird, but I think you catch my drift).

So, like, the three from the month of March tacked on to the one from the twelfth makes 42?

atom backwards, etc.

His birthday's actually the 11th. Otherwise that'd be cool.
