Currently I'm addicted to 'Right Place, Wrong Time' by Dr. John. I don't know if anyone else knows of this song, but it is somewhat known because it is used during the opening credits to the movie Sahara.

Anyone else have a current addiction?

JohnnyNemesis

I've been on a U2 kick for weeks now, but my current obsession is their 1997 underrated hit "Please".

That's my only song addiction at the moment, but I've also been loving "Hunting for Witches" by Bloc Party.

Currently switching between "Reptilia" by The Strokes and "Hunting For Witches" by Bloc Party.

And, of course, F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.

Edit: omg coincidence

Fall Apart by 1208. Mainly the bridge section is caught in my head.

Every time I hurt myself for you
It's always hit and miss to feel the mood
But the more I do for you
The less I can do for myself
And it's not so bad to be alone
When I know nothing is set in stone
But I've got one problem

I forgot to answer the question in my last post.

My current addiction is this song here (http://www.imeem.com/dapantz/music/qtVuWIjR/minusbaby_you_just_havent_earned_it_yet_baby/). I've listened to it 22 times since yesterday afternoon. So good.

My other addiction is this song (http://www.imeem.com/dapantz/music/BVe6-RE-/fatalexceptionid_gameboy_is_for_thug/), which I've listened to 19 times in the same span.

These songs make me love my life.

And I listened to "Map of the Problematique" by Muse 10 times in that span. It was like, back and forth, back and forth. Those are my current addictions, along with:

Muse - "Supermassive Black Hole"
Ashlee Simpson - "Outta My Head"

Queens of the Stone Age - "If Only"
Streetlight Manifesto - "Would you be Impressed?"

Right now I have two major addictions. One is "Life's a Bitch" by Nas. Where do I start, it's just perfect. It's got an extremely simple, jazzy beat that gives the song a very laid-back vibe. AZ, who I've never really listened to outside this song, makes a guest appearance, and I don't know if he's actually a great rapper or if he's just unbelievably perfect for this song, but his voice fits in here like I can't imagine any other doing. Nas's own verse ain't bad when he comes in either. Both of them were really needed to make this the great song that it is. Throw in a mellow, jazz trumpet outro and you get all in all one of the most beautiful rap songs ever written.

As for the other addiction, I thought I'd listen to my Blaqk Audio album recently since I hadn't really since it came out. For the most part, I maintained my original opinion: that "Snuff On Digital" is awesome, and the rest of the album is mediocre. Except this time I noticed "Cities of Night." That song is a total gem. It actually takes advantage of having synths and keeps building on itself , adding new sounds, rather than making the mistake of doing the rock thing with identical verse-chorus-verse stuff, like so much of the album does. They even throw in some electric guitar for good measure. I'm so glad I rediscovered this song.
