Yeah, that commercial is pretty great. But seriously. Have you even tried sliced bread?? If you haven't, you REALLY should. It isn't really as overrated as people seem to think.

I think the real question is, have you ever tried to slice your own bread? It always comes out all smushed and horrible.

Sliced bread is excellent for everything, except for the best meal of all, thick meaty broth and unsliced bread. Get a decent bread knife, cut your own bread, tear bits off and dip. Have 3 or 4 different kinds of bread if you're dedicated, like me.

I guarantee. That's a MAN'S MEAL

If you buy unsliced bread you don't slice it, you fools. You tear.

It's like you were all born in caves with fancy knives or something. Barbarians.

Also, that commercial is amazing.

But what if you make your own bread and want to make a sandwich with it? You can't tear out two perfect slices for something like that. It's hard enough doing it with a knife.

UGH. You tear off a large part, and then dexterously rip it down the middle and stuff the food into the gaping hole you've created.

Pfff once I didn't have any bread, sliced or unsliced.

Do you know what that meant?

Cookies and chips for dinner!

I do this on a weekly basis.

Rye bread! Now that's something to "feel good" about! Also, the dinner rolls that you just put butter on! AND the free rolls that they serve at restaurants! Holy crap, that's awesome!

I once sliced bread, using only sheer force of will. It was the best bread ever.
