But did the Offspring record albums at Nitro Records? I thought they just re-released S/T there in 1995...

Yep, only S/T was re-released thorugh NITRO. None of the forthcoming or older ones was released through NITRO.

My question is: Where are the pictures, so we all can see what the place looks like :D

Did I do one too many bong hits? Nitro Records is a record label, not a recording studio.

Dexter owns the place and works there, but they never did any recording there. If you want to check out their studios, look in your CD booklets and youll see the name and town of each studio. theyve also done some recording at Ron's studio, I think Garden Grove?
Thats cool though, that you checked out Nitro. I should be making a pilgrimage over there this year.

the bands iv talked to who have been on nitro say that nitro is barely even a label anymore and probably isnt going to last much longer.

Dexter need to hire me. That would be turning point for Nitro. All bands of Nitro's except Vandals and AFI sucked.

A Wilhelm Scream and No Trigger are still going. I don't know about Hit The Switch, but we'll have to wait til May 30 to see what label their next album is on. The drummer is being unclear about what label they are on, but their myspace still list them as being on Nitro.

Is Nitro going through some financial difficulties or something (I mean, general economic crisis aside)? They just dropped The Aquabats after quite a while of being signed, and Charge!! being a reasonably successful release. With a new album currently being recorded.

Just thought that was kinda odd. Oh well. *shrug*

Maybe Dexter lost the passion for that. Being a small label owner, without having too much time to work, is hard. Dexter was successful on the grow up of AFI but all the others were just small hits.

"In April 2009 The Aquabats were released from Nitro Records "due to trying economic times and a struggling musical landscape", causing their new album to be delayed indefinitely"@wikipedia...

No, that's an Urban Myth. He's a roadie for Green Day tour 2009.

Bigger labels like Fat Wreck are getting hit hard by the current state of the industry, so it doesn't surprise me that a smaller label like Nitro is having trouble staying a float. Still, i doubt it'll go away completely; they just need to revamp and reorganize.

Thats true. They just need some new bands. They biggest band right now, A Wilhelm Scream(One of my personal favorites), is doing pretty well. All their albums rock and I have a good feeling that No Trigger and Hit The Switch can make a good name for themselve in the industry.

Plus, I also read that Nitro is trying to sign more skate/hardcore punk acts instead of the more popular emo acts that Epitaph signs once a month, and not too many bands are doing that, and if they are, they're on Fat Wreck Chords.

Nitro is having serious trouble staying afloat and they pissed quite a few of their bands off recently causing them to leave. such as crime in stereo and juggs revenge and another band i forget what they are called but they say dexter ripped off one of their riffs for hammerhead.

Man, if Nitro can't make it, then that's pretty sad. I mean, yeah they've struggled at certain times, but you would think a few reasonably successful bands would be good enough to keep a small time label afloat, y'know? AFI is the only band with some mainstream success, but they've also had a handful of other bands that are underground successes. I don't really get why they're having as much trouble as they are.

lf Offspring release one live album or one b-side album on Nitro, they will have enough money to stay well for a good couple of years.
