4:20 AM, as has been said.

Kerouac

Which time is this CET?

6:20 CET, if you have daylight savings time, 5:20 if you don't

4:20 AM, as has been said.

Not for Italy, as they are 8 hours ahead of LA, so that makes 5:20

dff_punk

I was counting that Hammerhead world premiere was 8:00 PM california time, and here in Slovakia(which is a part of CET-Central europe time) it was at 3:00 AM. So logically 9:20 PM there would be 4:20 AM here.

Kerouac

But you guys are GMT+1 like Germany right?
So if LA current time set is UTC/GMT -7 hours that makes us 8 hours a head.
So if the show starts 9:20 pm it would be 5:20 ins Europe and 6:20 in those countries with daylight saving time.

Lord_Gabo

on kroq site they'll play at 8.20 pm... then 4.20am in italy .. 8 hour less..

Well, hopefully someone can record Offspring's performance

Try using the newest IE. Works well and the stream is sharp as hell! And the sound is great, so what's here to watch The Offspring playing live. :p

Bacterium
05-17-2008, 12:53 PM

Gotta see Flogging Molly too, I'm gonna see them this summer so it will be nice to watch them playing on this one! Never seen any live stuff with them before..

Gotta put my clock alarming then, it's morning in here by then. And by the way, everyone should get the stream working by clicking the "full screen" and that allows you to save the file which leads into Windows Media Player full screen stream.

I can easily record it but I should warn you that my internet is somehow fucked up lately so I have to watch with 300K bit-rate, so the record won't be the best..if there is anyone else who can record it in better quality, it will be great.

Bacterium
05-17-2008, 01:59 PM

Hey man, I was searching for a way to record, and this is what I've found : VLC media player. Read this (http://forum.videohelp.com/topic316907.html) and it will be able to record the show (I'm recording right now =]).

For those people who can't view the stream, try this :
Open this link ( http://kroq-700-weenieroast-080517.wm.llnwd.net/kroq_700_weenieroast_080517?MSWMExt=.asf ) on Winamp or VLC media player. I couldn't watch on the page too.

Hope I could help a little ! And please ! My net is a little fucked up too, so if anyone could record the Rise Against, Offspring and Metallica and post it here afterwards.. Thanks !

How do I open the files if I choose ASF?
according to which codecs you use..if you have VLC player or KM player f.e. , you can play it..but you can simply google some ASF to AVI converters and convert it into AVI format..

Yes, they did. I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I don't kiss bands asses just because I like them. I'll point out flaws if I please. Straight up.

K. And as long as we're stating opinions as fact, Pennywise's flaw is every single song sounds the same. Edgy, perhaps, but monotonous.

Stating opinion as fact? Well don't you think it's kinda fact that The Offspring have lost their edgy attitude? What happened to their true punk roots? I guess you gotta grow up someday. But what I was trying to say is Pennywise has still held on to that attitude and their beliefs. And they have been around just as long.

Naw, I was debating whether or not that's a flaw. I don't think it is. I think they've changed, and there's nothing wrong with that. I kinda think Pennywise is putting on a front with their "fuck your parents, fuck authority" when they're approaching middle age. A little forced, if you ask me.

Yeah, i guess it could be kind of interpreted as "snarky", but i'm pretty sure the bands are friends, so its probably just joking around.

Also, looks as if Mr. Brett is playing with Bad Religion, cool.

ThunderPX
05-17-2008, 06:11 PM
'Course, they're still in California so Brett's there. :P

ThunderPX

I've always wondered, why do they have their mics way up there? Doesn't that put unnecessary strain on their vocal cords?

EDIT: ...what the fuck are they doing?

brothadave79
05-17-2008, 06:16 PM
You'd think it would. That would explain the way they sound today.

EDIT: Actually pretty good on Requiem for Dissent.

It's been shoved down my throat since day one that your mic should be as close to your mouth in your normal standing position as possible so you don't put strain on your cords. :P

doesnt affect your singing where you put your mic.

It does, actually. If you're hunched over your mic and your chin is down, making your throat scrunch down on your vocal chords, you won't sound as good as if your mic is a little above your mouth so you have to sing up to it. That position lets your vocal chords stretch out some more and do their stuff.

Of course when I was on tour and drinking whiskey for 5 days straight there was no amount of mic positioning that could save me. Though I think I sound better when my voice is all raspy and shit. ;)

ThunderPX

its the same people that say your snare should be set at a particular height and angle, or that your thumb should be in the middleback of the neck of a guitar. anti-strain,injury,blah.. maybe. but for 99% of the time, its pretty irrelevent?

Strain and comfort are pretty variable from person to person, so I'd agree that those sayings can be pretty irrelevant. But you sound like shit if your voice is overstrained so I'd say it's more relevant.
