Other than part of the Drum beat, it sounds nothing like the Offspring...

Not even the WHOLE drum beat is the same. I hope he's just making jokes...

Just posted a reply (under jamesofkrondor) ...

Can you imagine Dexter on stage bitching about how Sum 41's "Still Waiting" has a similar riff to "Dammit, I Changed Again"? Pathetic!

And, admittedly, the comparison I just made isn't even that close, but you get the idea. There are thousands upon thousands of songs that have spot on similarities between them. Such are the limits of playing rock music (with the standard instruments involved).

My two cents...

If he was really so pissed off, why'd he put TSOL records out on Nitro? Kitten, you still around?

I got kind of a facetious vibe from the whole thing. Plus he did vocals on Splinter, almost a decade after Smash was released, i seriously doubt he was carrying a major grudge all those years.

Without being offensive towards you jacknife737, do you think it's possible that some of your "friends" say shit behind your back..?

I hope you understand I'm simply trying to prove a point, and not attacking you (or your friends) ;) Jealousy and envy are ugly, ugly characteristics. They don't always show themselves, either. I also think that they disguise themselves as other characteristics. Indifference isn't always indifference.

But I'm rambling... sorry.

Maybe everybody should steal songs from TSOL. I'll start and write a song called "Code Red", and it will be about fucking people that are alive...

Yes, but it doesnt matter. Pennywise is just one in a hundred of bands who use that beat.
A drum beat cant be patented.

And Billy Talent used the beat from Pennywise for "Red Flag".

Jack kids around a lot, like you said, if he was so pissed, he wouldn't have signed to Nitro and he wouldn't have sung back up on Offspring albums.

You seriously take too much seriously. He would just have been messing around, he wouldn't have worked with The Offspring if he was that pissed off.
And I think that may have actually been recorded after they signed to Nitro Records.
