View Full Version : Bad Habit Lyrics

Unnatural Disaster

In the official lyrics packet and on the website it says:

"Well they say the road’s a dangerous place
If you flip me off I‘m the danger you‘ll face"

But every time I hear them sing it (on the CD and Live) Dexter is definitely saying "If you flip me off, I'll get in your face."

Anyone else hear this?

He's very clearly saying "I'll get in your face" and not "I'm the danger you'll face."

Personally, I think "I'll get in your face" flows better than "I'm the danger you'll face" does.

Sometimes when a song is recorded, a lyric may be changed from what was originally written. Often times these changes don't get to the Art Director and Copy Writer in time to be changed on the final liver notes.

So yes, there was a lyric change between what was printed in the liner notes and what is on the actual recording.

Yes! I've heard it like that each time!

It's definitely "I'll get in your face."

Sounds much better than the liner notes too.

Which is probably why he changed it. It might have even been a spur-of-the-moment thing (god knows I've done plenty of those)
