First of all, I emailed IGN/music that the offspring album, rise and fall, rage and grace is coming out June 17 in North America. (since they didn't have the album on their release date page)
They emailed me back saying, "are you a publicist or from a record label company?
I said, working for columbia records ( i'm not! kaachow!) and I'm big fan on the offspring and I was wondering if they could do a review on the new album.
They said, Love too! Can we have an early copy of the album. ()
So I contacted Columbia Records...yada yada yada... they didn't ask questions. and I'm 60% sure I got them to send one into them.
umm... so i guess IGN is doing a review of the CD.... That's neat huh?!

ign can be a tough review...
...if they get a bad review...will you cry?...or maybe you know...suicide?...that would be an interesting twist...isnt that what happens in the new movie, the happening?

I think they knew you were some teeniebopper fan and just wanted to make your day by making you believe that you had some say in what happens.

well I got the first e-mail back from IGN on May 29. And we learned about the hammerhead video going on IGN a couple days ago. And they didn't have a release date on the album till after I sent an e-mail to them. Can't be to sure, but I don't really care anymore, there will always be reviews on other websites you know what I'm sayin?
Or maybe because of the e-mail they contacted each other and are promoting their new music video early on IGN!

IGN is owned by News Corp, they aren't a small company so just because the person you are talking to doesn't know about an Offspring album or a promotional tie-in doesn't mean you are the one that turned them onto it.

yeah your probably right IGN is one of those companies thats branched out into Australia and the UK. I don't think I did anything either
