So there seems to be no intro this time... That would make it the fisrt album without some sort of intro since smash. Why would they give it up now? Any guesses? Or pieces of interviews that would tells us why?

Um, Smash had Time To Relax? So this would be the first since Ignition, unless you count the "AH FUCK! FUCK FUCK! FUCK!"

I think they forgot, or maybe they decided to change (if not changed, they would become monotonous)
it's great "the change"
i like they don't always do the same things
i like new record

Doesn't really need an intro. To be honest, from what we've heard, Half Truism sounds like the perfect way to kick off the album. Sounds beautiful. :D

i think they are trying to put out a more serious album, and stuff like that isnt very serious.

To me, the intro tracks were all just waste of tracks. We want actual music, you know? Thank God they decided against that.

Agreed, this day in age when a track costs 99 cents on average would make those tracks useless anyway.

Half-Truism has a very unique intro that does well in transitioning from silence into the first part of the song.

And yeah, I definitely think the offspring are trying to set a new tone with this CD.

Intros are funny and useless.

Intros remind me some users of this forum.

It's soooo unimportant thread me thinks :p
I really don't care about intros anymore, the only thing I would like to see is a hidden (or not hidden) outro, however all the Offspring's albums' last songs were great as outros (maybe When You're In Prison is a weaker outro than others, but I don't bother much).

intros make my day
personally i put on "Time to Relax" on repeat one and have it blairing out of my stereo.
does it rly matter?
i do prefer the intros, but after u hear it a couple of times u rly dont care.
although i wouldnt mind an intermisiion sorta song. lol
would be a good half time break through a rly serious album.

If it's like the intro from CO1 I don't care, but Disclaimer is really cool.

you know how session had the "fuck fuck fuck"? (i think it was session)
maybe they kept the intro as part of half truism. like first ten seconds of half truism.
who knows? more importantly who cares?

Actually, you're right- there is a possibility this whole thread is wrong- it could be that the offspring put a small intro right into the first track before the song started.

Although I've really liked their intros, especially Disclaimer, this album seems to be just about "the music", not about silly distractions. I doubt I’ll mind the apparent absence of an intro.

Pretty much. They aren't even really songs. They're wasted space. I like that this new album has no intro track.

Intros are stupid...do you really want another Splinter where there's an intro track and a stupid track at the end and only 10 tracks left that equal 25 minutes of real music?

I agree with the theory that if an intro exists, it's going to be in the beginning of Half-Truism. As for an outro, I don't think there will be one, since Rise & Fall is only 3 minutes long.

I read somewhere the length of the track, probably this album will be the longest since Ixnay,12 new song, no intro.
