View Full Version : What would you like to see on a next Offspring dvd?

06-25-2008, 09:10 PM
Im currently injoying a glass of Jager while listening to RAFRAG
And im thinking about what id like to see on a new dvd. Probably
The best way for the offspring to find out what fans would really want
to see on a dvd. Ill start

1) some studio footage, also including Josh.

2) Id really like so see Greg and Ron talk for more than 2 secondes.

3) More about how they spend their free time. We all know that Dexter
Likes to surf and fly, Greg like to play golf and Noodles likes
To drink but id like to see more.

4) A good quality of a live show after 2003, we dont have much good live
videos of more recent songs. I'd like to see The Noose with a good quality.
House of Blues and Smash to Splinter was great show we had on a dvd.

Huck It was a good dvd but Id rather like to watch Greg K putting than some
Random guys crashing all over the place with their bmx.

haha that last line made me laugh

and yes more haning out videos!

And maybe them doing pranks? I love it when they dont show their age.

I was thinking, if they use my thread for new ideas, I might be in the next dvd's credit as special thanks to.

I would greatly enjoy a DVD all about Greg.

I was glimpsing at an old thread where someone said they'd like to hear some of the unused demos as an EP released around the same time as the new album. I think that would be cool as a DualDisc, with the EP being the audio side, and the typical Offspring DVD stuff (live footage, studio footage, interviews, and the like) on the DVD side.

"Random guys crashing all over the place with their bmx." hahahaha

dont have 7 shots of it or u'll end up pissing off dexter.
yeah i like watching their live stuff. i hardly ever watch their videos, but i like cranking our new sound system up and watching TKAA played live. good shit.
and yeah more about the band, dexter and noodles seem like rly good down to earth blokes. i'd like to know more bout them.

06-26-2008, 02:15 AM
I'd like to see them crash a bar mitzva

Shitloads of studio-footage

Interviews. (TALKING ONES, not just golf and breaking windows.)

Live performances.

High quality videos of the old shows in San Berubin or whatever that place was called.

Dexter and Noodles talking about all the new songs.

Interviews with some other bands and how they know The Offspring (Pennywise, Nofx, Rancid, AFI?)

Stupid stunts.

Backstage footage.

I'd really like to see
- Studio times, but not only Dex, Noodles and Greg, with Josh too
- Interview with different bands about The Offspring (including Josh ;) )
- Dexter on RAFRAG songs and Hammerhead video (this part may be without Josh :p )
...nothing new, just what seems to me really important from previous posts

06-26-2008, 10:14 AM
And greg definitely has to speak sometimee
I don't know his voice
I think I heard it sometime..

i would love to hear a interview with pete and greg

06-26-2008, 10:38 AM
It's probably be complete silence because I don't think either of them could stand being stared at for more than 10 seconds without flipping out.

06-26-2008, 11:15 AM
1- Video commentry of the Hammerhead video.
2- Any unseen old videos (the Beheaded video if the band has a copy)
3- Meet Noodles p.II
4- The band talking and joking (these are usually great parts of the DVDs)
5- Dexter in his "MiG" (crazy stuff)

06-26-2008, 12:17 PM
Meet dexter's dog

Some nudism

oh and some funny music videos too

06-26-2008, 12:25 PM
I would like to see a full live performance and a documentary about life on the road(what is like touring for months).

06-26-2008, 02:32 PM
I’d love a documentary-type thing like Green Day’s Bullet In A Bible meets NoFx’s Backstage Passport. Ie a mix of footage from the recording period, live performances, backstage stuff, and the band visiting local sites whilst on tour.

Id love a documentary-type thing like Green Days Bullet In A Bible.

That'll be cool. Or one like A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica. With interviews to Bob Rock and the guys, making the record and then the life on the road.

Im pretty easy to please with live dvds: just give me a high quality live show. I own a bunch of live dvds and I never watch anything on them other than the concert itself. I don't care about how you made the concert. I don't care about your 10,000 taped interviews with rolling shit or any other queer ass magazine. Just give me the band playing their songs and the end.

06-26-2008, 05:16 PM
like everyone else i would just like more interviews and features on the band. there are plenty of live clips floating around on the internet so it wouldnt be the end of the world if they didnt put in an entire peformance from a show!

06-26-2008, 10:20 PM
I'd like to see a documentary kinda thing of them recording the album. Kinda like how sum 41 has the making of underclass hero.

Cock Joke
06-26-2008, 10:22 PM
Skateboarding, surfing, all the stuff that was on the previous ones!

06-27-2008, 10:13 AM
On the next Offspring DVD, I'd suggest a live one. I want that one be a DVD of their KROQ Weenie Roast concert from this year. That concert was awesome.
