Whos version of "Hurt" do you like better?

It was written by NIN and Johhny Cash did a cover on it.

I actually like the NIN version better than Johnny's.

Yeah, I prefer the Nine Inch Nails song.

The music video for the Johnny Cash's cover though is really well done. I love it.

They're both good in their own ways. I prefer NIN's but the video for the Cash's version is possibly the best music video I've ever seen! And the goal wasn't to make the ultimate tear-jerker. It was more like, "Hey, let's put this old footage in!" Or, "Hey, let's get a shot of June!" The way it was edited together really brought the emotional punch.

Here are some videos. First, the NIN original:

Next, The Cash's version:

Finally, Trent Reznor doing a solo performance of the song:

Johnny Cash's version in every single way. I'm so in love with his cover. And the video is indeed one of the best one's I've ever seen.

The man in black, without a doubt.

my little sister is convinced that it is Trent Reznor who covered Johnny Cash, and not the actual other way around.

no matter to all the information pointing otherwise. lol

I always thought NIN were the ones who covered Johnny Cash. Weird.

I can't stand Johnny Cash and I'm a huge NiN fan so NiN wins hands down in my opinion.

Johnny Cash, though the Nine Inch Nails version is phenomenal.
