Well I think they are ready for that. With a good setlist (songs from each album) it could make a kick ass record!

A live album would be cool just because I'm such a hardcore fan, but I think live albums have sort of lost their appeal since the 90's, so I doubt it would sell. Nowadays, I find that as a general rule for any band of significant popularity in existence: If they've played it live at any point in time, you can find it on the internet in seconds. But yeah, it still would be cool to me if they did a live album.

I do! I have a feeling that they'll make it happen.

A live DVD should be done, also.

That sounds a lot cooler than just a live album. Although I wonder if The Offspring still puts on a good show now that they're older. What are they in their early 40's now?

"Gaaad", this have been discussed for ages. It's at least one other thread about this.
But yeah, I think every fan would like a live album. I loved that, but I actually prefer an acoustic album!

Yeah, Dexter is 42, Greg is 43 and Noodles is 45. They still kick ass, and I hope they're gonna rock for many, many years too.

ive never found live albums very appealing. you only seem to get the exact same songs with a bt of stage banter and crowd noises! a dvd would be much better!

A DVD for sure.
At least I got the high quality video from their KROQ performance from Sneedo. God bless his soul.

Just for fun, what do you think could be a good setlist for a live record? (a realistic one).

Here is mine for one cd (it's not my personal best of):

1-Bad Habit
2-All I Want
3-Staring At The Sun
4-Hammerhead
5-Session
6-Gotta Get Away
7-You're Gonna Go Far Kid
8-The Kids Aren't Alright
9-Want You Bad
10-Come Out And Play
11-Can't Repeat
12-Half-Truism
13-Beheaded
14-Why Don'y You Get A Job?
15-Pretty Fly
16-Gone Away
Encore
17-Can't Get My Around You
18-Self Esteem

Quite a good one, but i'd add Million Miles Away, Trust In You, Stuff Is Messed Up and maybe A Lot Like Me (replacing I Want You Bad and Why Don't You Get A Job with two of the, and the two remaining songs would be encores). I think that now when RFRG is the newest album, it's more likely to get more songs from it than the other albums (it's not a good way to promote an album, if only 3 songs from it are played on a concert). If they couldn't put all these on one CD, why not make a two disc album?

Who needs some overdubbed shit pressed on a cd? Really, if anyone remembers the Smash - Splinter Show you know what i mean. Pathetic.
They should rather work on new material or at least have the balls to release an untreated live album without any kind of overdubbing, but I doubt it.

I'd rather have a live album then a live dvd.

That said i wouldn't mind a dvd, but would love it to be more then just a live performance, maybe something like a documentary of the band's career up to the release of RAFRAG, with various clips of live performances, interviews, ect.

I only want a live album if it is going to include songs from all the albums. If it is just going to be a live greatest hits, no thanks.

No, I don't want it. They should concentrate on doing studio albums.
