What does it symbolize? And what does it have to do with Takes Me Nowhere?

If you want to you can discuss other images here.

for me it means a cycle that never ends (the arrow thing).....and because of that it's getting burned (represented by the flames)....

and you can see (represented by the eye) that coming...but you are stuck in the middle of it (the eye is in the middle)...

that's what it looks to me at first sight

And the border of the eye is actually an arrow, pointing to the beginning of itself. Takeing him Nowhere.

Hasn't anyone noticed that?

yeah

that's why i said it's a cycle...it goes over and over again...repeating itself...leading to nowhere..

It always reminds me of "the flame in my eye now blackens my view", although it is probably nothing to do with that.

Because fires eventually extinguish and Dexter claims "I know how this will end" I think the flames represent the subject action.

After over a minute's contemplation this time:

"The flame in my eye now blackens my view"
"Am I ever going to see the light?"

These two quotes tie in fairly closely with the artwork when you consider the images and colour.

Takes me nowhere is a song about doing drugs, or getting drunk etc.
The bloodshot eye is something you get from doing that crap sometimes.
