Bernie Mac just died from pneumonia at the age of 50 today. Once again, I must ask, why him? Why couldn't have been some giant bag of douche??

I was going to make a thread about this when I read about it earlier this afternoon, but am not American so didn't feel privy.

Very sad indeed, 2008's shaping up to be a pretty unpredictable year for celebrity deaths isn't it.

I'll try, but I can't promise anything.

Wasn't there a thread in January that everybody wrote their death predictions in? I don't think anyone was correct so far.

Found it. http://www.offspring.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31129&highlight=Death+Pool&page=2
Nope. Nobody got Ledger, Carlin or Mac. Still plenty of time though.

Stranger with Candy guessed Freeman. He got the closest with his "Serious Condition" car accident.

Ha. I was just going to say that celebrity death pools everywhere are full of lose this year.

How incredibly weird about Bernie Mac. I just don't even understand how that could have happened. Klebsiella pneumoniae type of pneumonia?

Why not him? It's not like he was feeding the poor or coming up with a cure for blue balls or whatever. Thousands dies daily, Bernie Mac might as well be one of them.

I find death pools offensive. Go figure!

Why not him? Because I actually enjoyed him. Selfish, I know. But as Apathy said, Dane Cook is still running around...

fuck.. first carlin now him.. and ledger.. I just came from seeing batman.. fucking brilliant that guy.

Although I still hold Carlin is greatest loss. I about 75% of Hollywoods A-list should've died before Carlin. And I could also part with anyone from the other 25%, but not the whole bunch.. ya know instead of Carlin.

Bernie was a household name in my particular home as far back "Def Comedy Jam" days. Major suckage.

We've had our fix of unpredictable celebrity deaths now, surely we've got to have some sensible kick the bucket

1. Gough Whitlam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gough_Whitlam)
2. Harry Morgan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Morgan)
3. Nelson Mandela
4. Mickey Rooney

One of these is still seriously bound to kick it before the end of the year. They're all in their nineties goddammit!

I just need to point out that I got a point with Roy Scheider. I think I'm winning.

Yeah, many great norwegian comedians died this year (most of them of cancer), and they was just around 60 years old. Sad. :(
