I'm extremely surprised I couldn't find a thread to bump on them, considering how much love they get from JN/Otherpozerslol.

Anyway, I always hated them when these forums were buzzing about them. I hated them in fact. Then I got stuck at a train last night on my way home from work, I turned on the radio, and listened to the entire song Mirando. And fell slightly in love.

I'm too scared to listen to anything else without consulting the experts first. Which led me here. And then there wasn't a thread.

"Mirando" is the one song that grabbed me the most from LP3, along with "Mumtaz Khan." It's a great song, not really typical of them though.

I've been listening to their new album a lot lately. It's less boring than their first two albums, which had some great stuff on them but didn't always hold my attention.

I really can't stand the new album and I was shocked when it was released because the first two are so good. However, "Falcon Jab" might be the best song I've ever heard from them; unfortunately, nothing else really sticks out for me on that album.

So is the general consensus that I won't like most of the stuff if the one that got me was Mirando?

Or do you think I'd like Falcon Jab as well? I guess it can't hurt to give it a try but I do hate being disappointed.

It's hard to say. Most of the new album, including "Mirando" is actually very reminiscent of what comprises the bulk of their earlier albums. The thing is, the first two albums also had lots of more active and interesting (to me) and fun kind of songs, while the fun songs have been replaced with stuff on LP3 that strikes me as way too mellow and experimental in comparison.

Basically, what I'm saying is that I really think that you'll like the earlier stuff, but you'll probably like it in a different way and for different reasons than I do.

Apathy, which songs did you hear before that made you dislike them? Mirando strikes me as more experimental for them, but there is some stuff that is fun and addictive like that song for sure. I actually like LP3 because to me it's the easiest album to listen to straight through. The others have some GREAT stuff on them, but some of the songs go on too long and there isn't enough variety to keep my attention (particularly their first album).

I've grown too lazy to upload songs lately, but thankfully there's usually someone who streams the songs on Youtube. Here are a few of my favorites for you to check out:

Kennedy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GooXFwD3ZTE)
Nostrand (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6kxExi5wSs)
Mumtaz Khan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhWAKkbu0sQ)
Falcon Jab (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFWClWxqLpk)

The first 2 are from their second album, the next 2 are from their new album. I especially like the background image from the Falcon Jab stream. I couldn't really find anything of my favorite songs from their first album, but I'm not too crazy about that album anyway.
