A few best things i did this summer really did not happen till the very end. Went on vacation to NC. Became a fan of rum when i was down there. Also listening to and understanding guitar sounds and notes which indeed helps doing a cover easier than trying to play it without feeling.

Going on a surfing trip to Tofino. Best thing I've done in quite a few years.

I went up to my girlfriends, met the family, and spent the American Independence day jet skiing and tubing. It was a blast.

Two American girls my friend had been talking with on the internet for about a year came over for a few days, us, them and a few friends went camping it was a fucking blast. Pictures in the photo album eventually.

went to see a close friend, who's studying in Brussels right now. it was absolutely awesome, so if I had to name one thing, I'd definitely go with that one.

Gogol Bordello was great too, actually.

Oh, rad! I've heard cool things about their shows...

The greatest thing I did this summer was go to the Knitting Factory with a group of people I'd never met before and see the Cute Lepers. I'm a very shy, very cautious kid--I never would have thought to do something like that. Ever. So, I'm glad I did.

And I got to see the Dark Knight with a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in a while. That was cool. Other than that, my summer's been a total bore--I mainly slept and listened to music.

I took a class this summer to get an EMT certification. The class was a blast and the people were really awesome and I made some great friends. I think it was the best use of 200 bucks that I have ever spent. I learned a lot and it was so much fun, and I'm gonna be way ahead of a lot of people when I start into anatomy next year. I'm going to take the state exam next weekend and hopefully next summer I'll be able to work as an EMT in my hometown. It was really cool.

Not only that, but as of next week, if someone tries to dispute me over something in the emergency medical/injury area, I can be like "Oh yeah? Well I'm an EMT. Whats your qualification to make that judgement?"

dumped my girlfriend.

...Met/Started dating my girlfriend.

Also, hiked 150 miles out West over the course of July. Bitchin'.

EDIT: Oh, and went to college. I'm officially a sad, lonely adult, instead of a sad, lonely kid. Fun.

Two things stand out very much:

Seeing George Carlins second to last show ever front row center.

4th of July fire works with The Offspring.

Except for getting a new job and recording the drums for my new bands CD, it's been a pretty slow summer for me.

First time I introduced a girlfriend to my extended family (which went very well) and visited Paris without my parents (also pretty good).

Swordfights.

Like every summer when I go back to France, the best baguettes ever were waiting for me. The food and my extended family are the high points of my summers.

Got a new well paid job for the summer. That's the main thing I did... The best thing? Probably spending time with friends the rare times it was beautiful outside.

I personally had a really shitty summer. :(

But my almost 3 year old daughter Nina is potty trained! So happy and proud of her. :D

I've been changing diapers for nearly 3 years straight and believe me, I'm sick of it.. eugh.

My job. I worked in a museum this summer, hands down the best working experience of my life, so far.

Also, I went to a great concert, Goldfinger/Less Then Jake/Big D and the Kids Table, so I got to pick it up this summer too.
