"RENTOKILL is a punkrock- band from the eastern austrian scene.

a punkrockband in the 21st century? what is the scene?

it's easy - the scene is you, passionate people who love music, go to shows, buy and distribute records, question the establishment and the way of consumption in this so-called modern western world. we see this band as our chance to express our own (individual) freedom. as being alternative has become a sellout itself, there's a new level of political punkrock content. there has to be!

it is not about
being bigger, faster or somewhat better than anyone.

it is not about
competing, dressing stylishly or waving flags.

it is about
the content of the mind and the heart, not only ours, but of everybody believing in true alternative music, setting up shows, providing food and places to sleep, yet keeping this spirit as DIY as it always had to be!

this is an animal-friendly, anti-racist, anti-sexist, movement to deny human nature.

we will go down, but we can still decide how!

this is for everyone!

we put love, passion and anger into our music.

are you with us?"

you should listen to:
Primetime Killers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfYno7i-NUo)
Kingdom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4zPJ7YDJik)
.. or simply the whole album "AntiChorus"

I actually like this, reminds me of A Wilhelm Scream. Good stuff, i'll have to check these guys out. I think they'd be the first Austrian band that i've ever listened to.

Oh yeah! They are fucking great! Got in them with Step Over The Wall, I can actually upload their album "Antichorus". Or put "Rentokill" in search, you should find my post where I've asked to upload their music and got some link with "Antichorus".

Yeah, I've got both of their albums (AntiChorus + Back to Convenience). Both are mind blowing. There's so much energy in their studio records, wow. If anyone is interested in one of them feel free to ask.
However, live they're even better. I'll never forget the day when they rocked that club.

Could you upload "Back to Convenience" then please?:)
I felt totally free to ask that :D

I started listening to these guys a few years a ago. I don't really agree with their political views, but the music is good nonetheless and I respect them for standing up for what them believe. I have their album "Back To Convenience" if anyone wants it.

Man, this band is great! They've been to my hometown lately and I didn't expect them to be internationally know back then... well, things change:D

Interesting, I attended a show lately too. Must have been like early August or so in Lüneburg (with NEIN NEIN NEIN as opening act).
