I didn't make them, i just riped them off the karaoke songs from the cd extras of americana and co1. There's no way to really take out the vocals without cutting out the ground wich makes the songs sound like absolute shit. So these are the only ones avalible.

Don't we all

Ahh, check. That's awesome. I heard something somewhere about a new digital audio format that separates out some of the different parts of a recording so it would be possible to make your own instrumental versions. Can't remember when they said it would start taking off, though.

Yeah. Its called FLAC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flac).It can support up to 8 channels with sample rate 192 kHz.You can also group the channels to stereo,5.1 or 7.1 surround systems.;)

EDiT: dude, can you upload them on rapidshare or something?youtube compresses the sound really bad .Staring at the Sun Instumental is awesome.Thank you.

Well, it sounds better than Pretty Fly, WDYGAJ and Staring at the Sun, but still it's not perfect.

My earphones have a weird problem since this morning, and they play my songs with the instruments amplified, and the singer's voice almost disappeared (A balance problem, I can hear the backvocals). I can listen to most Offspring song (all what's on my MP3) in instrumental (but with a bad quality sound), and I found that Americana was one that impressed me from those I listened. I'm sad I can't upload'em. But if one day your earphones have problems...

Yeah, it's the same principle as vocal removers. It just takes out the centered sounds- unfortunately, this also tends to affect the bass and parts of the drums.

There is a One Fine Day and a Original Prankster that are vocals only... I have them both.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/2/22/806633/Original%20Prankster%20%28Voice%29.mp3

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/2/22/806633/One%20Fine%20Day%20%28Voice%29.mp3

...keep in mind there are no vocals in Original Prankster until (guessing here) 45 seconds in, so if it sounds like silence, keep listening.

Also, I know most of you know how to extract the instrumental portion of mp3's in Audacity, and that most songs it destroys the quality. Well from experimenting, I'd say it definately depends on the sound of the guitar. I tried it on many Offspring songs and most sounded TERRIBLE. However...

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/2/22/806633/She%27s%20Got%20Issues%20%28Instrumental%29.mp3

Listen to this She's Got Issues (Instrumental). The guitar is the perfect kind that I cannot tell a difference after its edited (not too much anyway). You can still hear the vocals in a couple short areas where the guitar is quiet, but overall, I'd say its a good version.

I also did Can't Repeat that sounded decent, but I didn't save it.
