Has anybody here ever read the book "Olga"? There's also a movie based on this book, has anybody ever watched the movie too?
It's a really good book written by Fernando Morais, it tells the history of a communist-jewish-german girl named "Olga Benario Prestes", who left Germany and went to Russia, where she met Luís Carlos Prestes, a brazilian communist who is supposed to go back to Brazil, and Olga has to take him back to Brazil... There's a whole love story mixed with nazism, facism... It shows the other side of Getúlio Vargas (Brazil's president during World War II)...
Well, I'm not going to tell you more, if you want to know more, read the book or watch the movie :)
It was written in Portuguese, but there are translations to many other languages, including English.
