Congratulations on getting this dream job of yours.

If you're really so happy about it, it's totally alright to break the before 5PM rule. I hear alcohol, happiness, husbands and dream jobs mix really well!

Sunny

So hold on - you do freelance what, exactly?

I mean, if it's cool to reveal the big secret and whatnot.

Sunny

ok here's the story: i used to live in NYC. i was supposed to get a job with an ad agency in Dublin. they flaked out because of the economy and half-assedly offered me a freelance job. meanwhile, i applied for a job with a different ad agency and they hired me as an art director for their Dublin/London offices.

It needs to be stopped. :(

Did you notice her first and last post came two hours apart? She might have a low alcohol tolerance (cause she's tiny lol) but it's not like she's going to pass out in two hrs. Srsly man...

After her last post tho...

Congrats.

Of course it's alright to break the 5pm rule.

I find every once in a while that beer is pretty good when you just wake up. :) I'm however a denizen of Copenhagen (that is relevant.)

Seeing as it's nearly 6pm where I am, I'm assuming you're long passed out by now. ;) Congratulations, though! So your dream job has been to work in an ad agency? What did you used to do before?

Sunny
10-21-2008, 05:28 PM
haha, nah. i'm up doing stuff. woohoo :z

to answer your question, i graduated with a design degree and worked as a graphic designer. i really wanted an art director job, though... more responsibilities, more client interaction, travel, etc.

Oh okay, well that's cool. :) Do you still get to design? I'm jealous that you get to travel!

to my knowledge the extent of travel is to London and back - but hey!
regarding designing stuff, well, sorta. a lot of my work is going to be done with a marker and a piece of paper, which is fine for concepts and basic layouts. or putting together client pitches. i will not be the person to render stuff on a computer, though. the production people will do that... although i have no doubt in my mind i will end up doing some production when need be.

Congrats! That is pretty awesome.

I wouldn't mind traveling to London and back all the time.
