It doesn't matter what you believe in, I think we can all agree this man is insane. Watch his other videos, too.

waste of time for the cameraman

That was, of course, until I realized he was a comedian.

I'm a waste of skin and shouldn't be allowed to create threads before 2 in the afternoon.

fail.
:(:(:(

EDIT: I think what we need to take from this is that his satire was so good, it actually had me thinking that he was really a right-wing christian nut.

EDIT2: Or maybe I'm just an idiot.

Hahaha. Definitely worth watching.

Edit:I didn't see your second post, Thomas. It fooled me too, haha. I guess cause some of the points he makes sound like real arguments that some Christians actually make.

The banana thing comes from this video, which is NOT satire. I love how the guy in the green is trying so hard not to crack up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfv-Qn1M58I

This is also HILARIOUS. Peanut butter is proof that evolution is wrong!!!!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZFG5PKw504&feature=PlayList&p=F9968BF34814C732&index=0&playnext=1

Finally, here's a video that makes fun of the first video I linked... about bananas. I enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJS91g_LehY

Oh you have to love satire. It's ok Thomas, there are a bunch of people that do argue stupid points like this. Makes me embarrassed to be a "Christian."

I never post in 'Politics' but what the hell I was bored.

Is that guy serious or taking the piss out of it?
Man sometimes I hate being Christian when there are people like that out there, if he's being serious of course.

And did anyone else go back and count just to make sure he said 'Checkmate' 10 times at the end?

Well i for one, certainly don't see how anyone could argue against the logic of that folksy old man.

Balls in your court atheist extremists.

lawlz. I absolutely LOVE that video. More people need to see it, because it's the most ridiculous thing ever. I mean, the banana thing is pretty bad, but the banana guy just seemed like a doof. This guy talks like he truly knows what he's on about... like he totally understands what evolution is saying. And he's just wayyyyyyyyyyyy off base.

I was fooled by the first video. Not because of a good performance by the dude in it, but because I watched people argue with this religious guy in the brickyard (basically its like the quad is at most other schools) for like 20mins and he used those exact arguments in an attempt to refute our own. It was AWESOME!

PS I <3 the banana video!

Oh yeah, this is awesome, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVk6_DtMbA8

These guys come up with a fake magazine called "The Special Times" and one pretends to be retarded, so they can get in for the Creationist Museum's opening day. They get in and the "retarded" guy starts asking the super famous curator rather tough questions... and his answers are hilarious. Bty the curator is a total douche.

Hahah - at first I didn't think he was that much of a douchebag, but then I asked myself "why is he trying to confuse this guy he thinks is mentally disabled?"

Llamas

haha I think he's a complete jerk. Just his entire persona seems to reek arrogance, especially while communicating with a guy he thinks is retarded. And just how he talks... I dunno.

I've always wondered if a lot of lifelong atheists try to make good with God on their death bed. Y'know, cuz they're scurred.

Llamas

Lots of them.

Johnny, the video isn't much a display of stupidity in atheists, actually. But I generally agree that atheists can be huge idiots.

Thomas

Pick out just about any group of people, and you're guaranteed to find a bunch of idiots, really. It's just more prominent in religious groups.

No, not really.

Europe (both Eastern and Western) is teaming with well-adjusted reasonable religious people. Our atheists are also generally respectful of religion.

I don't know why the debate in the US has come to such a volatile head. It would be interesting if someone came with a plausible suggestion.

Anyway, a good satire, Funniest 3 and a half minutes today. But LOL at the comments under the video...

I wanted to bump this because I mentioned it to Holly yesterday - well, I mentioned the "banana hand" thing to her.

She stopped and looked at me after I said it, and just said.

"Yeah. They also fit into fucking monkeys' hands."

Maybe it's not as funny typed, but it made my week.

Better for her that she don't come across me in the future... Because she won't make it alive.

Religion is among other thingd also a way to brainwash people and therefore control their lives, and this woman is one living proof of what i'm saying. The sooner other people will realise that, the better.

wheelchairman

So who exactly is using religion to brainwash people, and for what purpose?

Well, didn't mean literaly brainwash and controll. Maybe i should phrase it better. But anyway, look at these religious groups, like the baptist church in the video - they sort of have that "brainwashed" feeling to them, don't they? That woman was using God as excuse for causing pain among friends and relatives of that dead soldier. Probably she even believed what she was saying herself, she convinced herself that she was right because it was God's will or something. That's just bullshit, at least in my opinion.

It sucks, but I wouldn't call it brainwashing. Usually I would associate that with much much smaller sects or branches. And they are usually much more fanatic.

Those people are just douchebags with horrible opinions.

Probably you're right, the small sects can really be fanatic. I remember sieng a documentary (maybe on discovery, i'm not sure) about small sects, and the leaders of those sects were trully exploiting and brainwashinf their followers. In one of those sects for example the leader told them that having money is a sin, and in order for this sin to be forgiven they had to give all their money to the leader (yep, as hard as it seems to believe, they bought that). The more money they gave to him, the higher rank in that sect they had.

In this case however they really are just some asshats, who use religion as an excuse for their douchebaggery.

If she protested when my uncle came back from Afghanistan, there's not a doubt in my mind I would have beat the living crap out of her and her family. I wouldn't even care about the legal consequences.

I would do the same. Also, chainsaw would be put into a good use in a case like this. I'm sure she could miss an arm or two...
