Self Esteem on the radio...back in 94. Still one of my favourites today!
It's a bit nirvanesque, but with an offspring twist to it :)

Unfortunately, the first song I heard was Pretty Fly but I wasn't a fan until I heard my bro playing the CD (Americana) all the way through. The songs that got me hooked was Kids Aren't Alright, Have You Ever, and Americana.

At first I thought it was Pretty Fly when it was a smash hit back in '98. Just until one of my friends played Self Esteem for me and I recognized having heard it before. I'd just always thought it was a Nirvana-song. After all I was only 9 years old when Self Esteem was released.

It was The Kids Aren't Allright. At first I found it good, then after a few listenings, I looked forward to find from who it was,and after I listened to a few other songs from The Offspring, I became addicted.

First Offspring's song I have ever heard was Come Out And Play, but one thing I knew about the song was that the artist who sang it was The Offspring.

Before 1999 I didn't listen to rock music, but in 1998 my friend show me Pretty Fly and I claimed it was cool and I should taste whole album... and since then I'm the greatest The Offspring fan :D

"All I Want". If I'm not mistaken it was on the 9th of March 1998 (the only reason I remember that was beacause we had a sort of talent show in school and one group lip synched to that song).
Later that day I also heard "Mota".

Come Out And Play or Self Esteem. Offspring was on everyone's lips, even between 8-10 years old kids in '94-'95.

Smash isn't the most selling indie album without a reason. They were fucking huge back then. Nirvana, Bad Religion, Offspring and Green Day...

I remember bringing Gotta Get Away at the school music contest. That didn't do too well though because people would've preferred the top two hits more. :D

Probably, but I didn't really start listening to the radio until the Americana era.
