You seem to be an individual that lacks friends in the real world and needs the attention of others on here to validate you. You post the pictures of your kids because it makes you feel good about your life and once again validates you. From everything that I've seen, it has to be about you. The fact that you didn't make any part of the list means that the attempts at validation fell short once again bringing you back to reality and the real world matters that people just don't care. For someone that cared so much in the past it's a pretty dramatic turn around to give a 'who cares' in such a flippant way, especially to someone that thought they got a long with you.

Believe me, I have a lot of friends.. but I work 60 hours a week and have 2 very small children to raise on my own. I'm sorry if I work very hard to support my family. I post pictures of my daughters because I'm very proud at how beautiful they have become. I'm sorry you don't have any children, maybe some day you will and will understand.

oh you are one to talk about drama. this is a fun thing that is a tradition on these boards and you are being your bitter-assed sour-puss self. I don't know what made you decided to just all of a sudden stop talking to me. Its like all of a sudden you decided you were on some higher plane of existence from me. what is it? has my socializing with the "1337" made me scum?

You want me to go there? You spent months on here 24/7 because you had no job right? And the whole time all you did was bitch about how you were an unemployed 30-something single mom who had had two kids with a guy who cheated on you with his ex-wife and barely acknowledges your children. You didn't go to college and have ended up in some working class job with little chance of getting past your working poor social standing.

I'm a 19-year-old college student who finished in the top 20% of my class. I just moved to a new school, spent the holidays visiting EVERYONE I know from both high school and college. I've got some freetime before the end of the holidays, because the vast majority of my friends' schools start back before mine. I've got friends, am looking for a job, writing music, visiting my family, and working towards my future 6 figure income. I'm also a fairly well liked member here because I have more interesting things to say then "Check out my ex's blog" and I contribute positively to the community that all of us have found refuge in at miserable times in our lives. I have a very fulfilling, busy life.

So remember that the next time you want to accuse us of having no life, that we're not the 30-something working class single mom posting on a board full of teenagers.

That's changed a lot this year, for some reason. I've been talking to people who exclusively post in GOD. Maybe it has something to do with the introduction of Visitor Messages.

Same here. That was the whole reason for this thread, because some of the GOD posters are my buds and some GOD posters got nominated this year. I like stopping in to GOD regularly.

You don't get stuff like Rutegard and RonWelty's stories in GC. This section very often has a fun silly atmosphere and I've learned a lot of strange things about the band. Not to mention this place being the source for my offspring bootleg collection.

I think most "GOD" members know about that Awards thing, it may be laziness or a tough choice what stops people from voting. And not seeing their own names in lists too.
Imo it would be incorrect if the most productive member will be the GC-only poster. It's the Offspring forum after all.

You'd be amazed. The RAFRAG project has been going on since august, right? There are still people who don't know about it. You've seen how every now and then someone will turn up in the thread like "WOAH! I can't believe I didn't know this was here!! I never look in your band so I hadn't read this thread!"

I think it's a common thing for new registered users to stay in the GOD, well, for most of them.
But I can't think of any more or less posting member that haven't been in GC, really.

Well, for the first month or so since i joined i checked GOD only. But then i started to check other forums also, and now it all came to this that i spend much more time in other forums than in GOD. Occasionaly there is an interesting thread or two in GOD, but most time there are only threads that were once interesting and now i rather stay away from them (you know what i mean), or pointless threads. But the picture threads can still be entertaining and fun place to visit.

Anyway, it's a good thing you created this thread _Lost_, since more users may check GC and vote there (you'll get my votes soon, i just need to think about who to vote for). I don't hate Shank, she was always nice, but i think that this was complete unnecessary reaction from her. I hope everything's cool now.

So we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition. In a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. So we have come to cash this check - a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice. We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of God's children. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the Negro. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights.

The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges. But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.

We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.
The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.

We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" we can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.
