I hate em' all. Post ridiculous qoutes from conservative commentators. Or videos of them getting schooled.

"If the owl can't adapt to the superiority of humans, screw it" -Rush Limbaugh

"Why should Blacks be heard? They're 12% of the population.
Who the hell cares." -Rush Limbaugh

It really saddens me, how pathetic the current mainstream conservative* pundits have become. I mean, they went from the likes of William F. Buckley, Jr. to some pill popping fucktard like Limbaugh.

Check out this, a debate between Buckley and Noam Chomsky over Vietnam and US foreign policy

Pt. 1

Pt. 2

This is the kind of stuff that US cable news should be broadcasting.

*Although the same thing can be said for a good number of leftist pundits as well; it's just that people like Olberman et al, come off as being more sincere in my eyes.

Just tell me what he did, Kevin. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK0d8ENS__c)

The thing is, it's all moved from analysis to assertion. You don't have two people engaging each other in debate, but rather shouting out talking points into the camera in an attempt to imprint them in the minds of viewers solely by enthusiasm and repetition.

Exactly. There's not a lack of intelligent pundits, there's a lack of demand for them. You can't blame the tv news shows, this is what viewers view. If intelligent, in-depth debate is what people wanted then ratings and market research would show it.

Look at the presidential debates. In the VP debates, Sarah Palin got away with openly dodging questions. "Ya know, I'm not gonna answer these questions like you want me to" or something like that was one of the lines she used. I laughed at the tv, thinking surely people would eat this up. That she obviously couldn't answer the question and fell back on talking points. To my dismay, all the pundits did was analyze "who won", the wink, and their dissapointment with the lack of gaffes from Biden.

What also bothers me is when they assemble panels. Four people banter for three minutes. Each one says a few quick catchphrases and simplified 'analysis' any viewer 12 and older will understand. And its remarkable that on any issue, they have disagreement. Regardless of what it is, wether the topic has any merit, or what public opinion is, there's two sides debating. It fabricates a lot of issues, in my opinion, when people get the wrong idea that an issue is that hotly debated. The TV news media just wants be entertaining and sell more add space. It's their job.

Ann Coulter wants Jews to be perfected.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a hateful comment. It was just ridiculously stupid. And seeing as she's rather highly educated, it's part of her persona. She intentionally tries to be offensive because that's what gets her an audience. It wouldn't surprise me for a second if Ann Coulter actually voted democratic, was an atheist, and supported welfare to a Scandinavian extreme. What this tells us is, where our values lie. We don't want people to tell us what they believe. We want people to tell us what we believe. Fuck..

I've often thought about this. There's no way she can believe half the stuff that she blurts out of her mouth.

In re likelihood of Ann Coulter being psycholiberal IRL, she exclusively dates uberliberal bleeding hearts. To hell with 'opposites attract' -- I'm pro-choice, do I date anti-choice to find true love and harmony?

Thanks Mr. Coholic, I enjoyed that video. :p It even *sounded* like Ann Coulter.
