YES! I know that they're doing REALLY well here. They play a lot of Offspring on 102.1 The Edge here. I hear at least 4-5 of their songs a day - well then the idiots I work with turn it to that station.

No wonder. They're completely ignored by all music websites, tv stations and magazines around here. So far I've seen 1 article about the new album, and it was only 3 lines.

The album sold very well due to the success of its latest single "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid", which spent 11 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart, proving the song to be one of the most successful singles the band has released in their twenty-four-year career.

hm but they don't say how much it's sold...

Yeah, in Norway too. -_-

I just don't understand. A song like You're Gonna Go Far, Kid could, and should do really well here in Norway - it's so catchy and ALLfucking friends of me likes it! Hammerhead wouldn't do it well probably, because it's just all pop songs that's famous here. but then, YGGFK should do well. man. I'm pissed about this.

Only things I've seen in Norway about this album, is some reviews:

http://www.musikknyheter.no/record/4184 - 8/10
http://www.studvest.no/kultur.php?art_id=9039&seksjon=anmeldelser - D
http://entertainment.no.msn.com/music/article.aspx?cp-documentid=8736206 - 3
http://www.dagbladet.no/kultur/2008/06/24/539003.html - 3
http://www.tek.no/audiovisuelt/artikler/the_offspring_-_rise_and_fall-_rage_and_grace/65364 - both positive and negative (and by negative - the say they haven't tried to do something "new", but that's exactly what they've done! Songs like Kristy, Fix You, YGGFK etc. DAMN! pissed)
http://www.ba.no/puls/plateguiden/article3630553.ece - 3
http://www.nordlys.no/dashboard/article3644769.ece - 3

Most of these reviews I just don't understand. I'm not gonna read through those again now, but they say things like they don't have any more catchy songs/riffs, don't try anything new and blabla. though, they say good things too, but damn... reviews, gah. -_-

The Offspring were, or are (there's still many fans here), big in Norway. songs like Self Esteem, Pretty Fly and Original Prankster were BIG here. I just don't fucking understand why Norway hasn't got the eyes up for You're Gonna Go Far Kid. every friend of mine likes it. "/

and yeah yeah, I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm just dissapointed.

Oh yeah, I actually managed a radiostation here to play Self Esteem and Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?, heheh. I found this wish-thing-songs on internet by a radiostation, so I wrote in Self Estem, YGGFK and KAYDO and some "reasons" for playing it. I got called up, and came on the radio with the songs. xD
