I think it's Higgins (X-13), but I could be wrong.

No, I'm pretty sure it wasn't higgens. He didn't show up with the group until Americana.

I can't find it anywhere on the internet.

He has been with the group since 1994. He sang "You gotta keep 'em seperated" and supported Offspring on their shows.

I seem to remember a story where they wanted to a find a guy to do that, but noone was good enough, so they used some effects and shit and Dexter did it...

Not sure if it's true tho.

Isn't it the same person as the "Intermission" guy?

The intermission guy is definitely John Mayer, right?

I don't intend to challenge those with supreme offspring knowledge, but I'd be willing to guarantee that's not true. I'm pretty good at noticing the little nuances of people's voices, and that is so not Dexter.

...wait a minute. I see what you did there.

Im pretty sure Intermission was John Mayer. I know for a fact that Intro on Americana was John Mayer. However, I dont think John Mayer did Time To Relax

No, that was Jason "Blackball" Mclean. He appeared on Smash and Ixnay on the Hombre.

And he was a heckler until they made friends with him, which was before the Smash.

Really? I'm pretty sure it was actually Jason "Blackball" Mclean, who appeared on Smash and Ixnay on the Hombre.

I thought he just made the appearance in the video. I'm quite sure it was Higgins who recorded that part in the studio.

Oh, right! I also remember at another show in '95, everyone in the crowd was requesting "Blackball".

Dexter: You know what happened to the last guy who requested "Blackball"?
Higgins: He became the guy that says "You gotta keep 'em separated"!

Heh, this proves nothing except that he was there in '95, but...he was there in '95.

Hmm... not really sure, but if I am NOT wrong, it's Jason Blackball. The same person who did the "You gotta keep 'em separated" part and "Mota" in "Mota".

There was a thread on this a while back; I posted a list of who did what, and I'm pretty sure it's 100% correct:

Jason "Blackball" McLean said "You gotta keep 'em seperated" and "Mota" on the studio versions.
John Mayer did Intermission and random spoken word stuff throughout Smash.
Calvert DeForest/Larry "Bud" Melman did the hidden track on Ixnay and some one-liners between tracks on Americana.
Higgins does gang vocals in the studio and used to do Jason's parts live, which are now done by Noodles.

I know this is a little off topic but this seems the best place to ask. I have these little clips, I don't remember where I got them (possibly this website years ago), of the soothing voice guy and a few from bud melman that weren't on any albums. they are:

bud - you know the offspring are my favorite band since naverna
bud - kiss my ass you tattooed freak!
soothing voice guy - i'm a badass mamma jamma
SVG - goddammit, you fucking moron!
bud - sphincter? i dont even know her!
bud - someone off mike:sphincter bud:spinster? SOM: no, sphincter
SVG - everybody wang chung tonight

does anyone know where they came from? the SVG ones must be outtakes from Smash and the bud ones must be outtakes from Americana. if anyone has heard these before and has any info on them please let me know, its driving me crazy.

If you go into the 2007 journal index, you can find a whole bunch of Bud sound clips. Dexter had uploaded those after Bud's death that year. I don't know about the other dude tho.

I believe he was shown in the video, but didn't do the actual studio recording.
