Do you work for Green Day, Camila?
EDIT: I think it wouldn't be wrong to state that the boys keep the American Idiot spirit up.
And vocals are wieyeaeird!

I like it. I'm inb4 "OMG SELLOUTZ", but it definitely has some elements that make it sound like something they would've written years ago.

I wish hahaha

Well, I like the fact that it reminds me of some stuff from Warning yet it has a twist of the new.

Somebody willing to help with the lyrics?

Born into Nixon and raised in hell (???????) traced in hell??????
Oh well that child where the teamsters dwell
The last one born, the first one to run
My dad was blinded by the refinery sun
My generation is zero
I never made it as a working class hero

21st century breakdown
I once was lost but never was found
I think I'm losing what's left of my mind to the 20th century deadline

I was made of poison and blood
On the nation this what I understood
From Mexico to the Berlin wall
Homeland security can kill us all

Refrao

We are the cause of the cause of the dead
Born millionarie ____
We are the desperate and the decline
M____ made by the bastards of 1969

My name is Samuel, the long lost son
Born on the 4th of July
_________ deprivements of heroes and cons
Left people dead or alive
There is a world (ou word) that's inside my head
that questions the results and lies
I'm breaking my back 'till I'm bent or dead
But nothing or none can survive

I am a nation the world caught upon
My tattooed ________ is ______
The scars on my hands ____________ is all that I have to show
I _____________ my sanity
______________ recatching up my soul
Well, I'm an except from this tragedy of the 21th century fall

A praised liberty ______ p_____ to obey
It's the song that strangles me
A _________ the line (???)

Oh dream, American dream
I can't live in sin from rainstorms still gone (????)
Oh bleed, America bleed
Believe what mean from heroes and cons

Not bad, classical Green Day, kinda reminds me more of American Idiot than the older stuff. And that solo-bridge thing sounds very Queen-like to me!

That was not that bad. Still am not expecting much. Sounds like a shorten version of Jesus Of Suburbia

I think I fixed some parts, too.

We are the cause of the cause of the dead
"Born in the year of humilaty"
We are the desperate and the decline
"Raised" by the bastards of 1969

A praised liberty, "The freedom" to obey
It's the song that strangles me
"And Don't Cross" the line

To me, it just sounds like they're lyrically trying too hard to be Bruce Springstein.

(I tried so hard not be a buzz kill about this song, but I can't help it. Sorry, guys. :o)

My problem isn't even the lyrics. They are pretty decent, but the song itself is incredibly boring and way too familiar to me. And annoying, which I didn't think a song could be. I especially dislike the chorus. Heh, the only thing I liked was the use of palm muting. I was wondering why that stood out so much for me, but I guess it's because they never do it. Anyway, I hope the song grows on me, but I highly doubt it. It'd be a mistake to make this a single.

I think it's good but it's not a lead single, that's for sure.

I think it's good but it's not a lead single, that's for sure.

It's a very bizarre song, with different melodies. I believe it will not last too long on the top. It hasn't that "mainstream appeal" that made girls like AMERICAN IDIOT. But it's just a demo. We have to wait.

Girls loved Boulevard of Broken Dreams more.

I see that song as a decent single. Remember? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChX40ftoMjM)

But, most probably, the "main hit" will be another Boulevard.

That is so sad. I remember whe I was only 13 and I was the only girl who really listened to GD at school or wherever. When I was 24, I was really pissed about this AI groupie thing; and now 4 years later, I am already preparing myself for all this bullshit again.

What bothered me about the lyrics is the repetion about Working class hero. What the hell.. Also that it's going to be just like AI. Christian and Gloria are going to be AI's Jesus of Suburbia and Whatsername and the act things. It really should be named AI - The return.

My hopes for this band releasing an album i'd like have died a long time ago. This is just the last nail in their coffin in my opinion. I can't help it, i just don't like the direction in which they are progressing.

Oh well, we'll always have Dookie...

And as someone said, yes it does sound like a short Jesus of Suburbia. Not different enough from anything on the last album.

Actually to me it sounds a lot like Homecoming. Even some of the vocal melody is the same. Between this and the first single Know Your Enemy I'm not too hopeful about this new album. American Idiot was great for what it was but to me it seems like they are trying to duplicate it with the whole album in 3 acts bullshit. They should have just let American Idiot stand on its own and gone back to making a straight up pop/punk album.
