He does look like he's just been hit by flying shit.

Version n2 (literate): he does look as though he had just been hit by flying shit.

P.S.: I've just met a woman from Melbourne in my block's laundry. She had such a clear accent, I thought she was from the UK, till I asked. Well, then again, her tanned complexion should have given her away, really. But I'm a tadge below par when it comes to placing people and accents. Point is, her English was highly understandable, not a word escaped me. What a thrill, I am now certain I could fly to Melbourne and feel (almost) at home.

I read that wrong and wondered what a Melbourne woman was doing in your laundry and how'd she get there? lol.
That's right, fly, fly to Melbourne, spend all your money here and help save Australia from recession, Mwuhahahaha!

By the end of this week, I predict that everyone is going to have their own little "I'm quitting" thread.

I always thought it was interesting how many people read the titles but not the contents of threads before replying.

Oh yeah. If not, every member will have his own "*user name*" thread where they are told to fuck off;)

This trend of "I'm leaving" threads reminds me of the BBS quiz craze.

Ah, but you don't know what you're talking about. Sure, you'd hate to see me leave... but you'd LOVE to watch me go. :p (can't recall the film that's from, soz)

Erm Budzy, budzy, budzy darling... are you actually from Melbourne? Where do you live? Not that I'm hatching nefarious plans about invading your privacy, just wondering what your accent is and what place you inhabit.

And no, it's too expensive to fly from Melbourne and back. Via Air France, it's like... a little less than half my monthly income? I may have saved some money, but I'll wait just the same. Cause I do want to splurge an outrageous, gargantuan amount of when I'm there - on croco boots, and other delights!!!

And DON'T tell me I can get hand-me-down croco boots for halfpenny-tupenny on the flea market. I don't want to know.

From a suburb just north of Melbourne about 30 minutes by car away.

Ah. And how do you like your place?

Goes alright. It's getting larger now, I think the population of our town is about 40,000 now, so it's not the quiet little suburb it used to be. But I still love this place, everyone knows everyone here, and it's still sort of out in the country.
