I wanted to catch Coachella and Bonnaroo, but I've already failed by 50%... I know Bonnaroo would be a good show, but I just don't have the money to get down to TN. There should be some free concerts in NYC mid-summer, but I was curious about some other options.. any suggestions?

^true.

if you're down to travel to TN you can catch Bonnaroo... i'm still impressed by how crazy that line up is. I mean, Al Green and Raphael Saadiq mixed in with all those other artists and bands? Gonna be crazy. if you don't wanna travel you can watch it on TV too i think:

How about All Points West Music & Arts Festival in NJ?

I can't see myself doing festivals like that. I've only seen and heard of Cochella and Bonnaroo through photos and reviews, and I can already tell that they look fucking lame. Hot sun, and shitloads of stinky hippies. No offense to the scenesters and hippie people, but that just ain't my scene at all.

Fuse's special will probably be pretty good. I heard that Bruce and Phish shared the stage for a while which could be cool, and Nas came out for a song with the Beastie Boys, which should be awesome. All of them are gonna be on the fuse show according to this: http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=1123182

Definitely just set my DVR for this... Kinda sucks that Fuse schedules things for Saturday nights... (who's usually home on a Saturday?!?) But I'll be able to catch it on my own time.

Kinda upset they didn't show the Phish/Bruce jams. But the Beasties killed Intergalactic. Anyone else catch the show?
