Ok so heres my little review from the show, sorry i didn't take any media, forgot my camera at home.

I always thought Street Dogs and Alkaline Trio were a strange opener for the Offspring, the crowd wasn't too enthused by them, but I enjoyed them very much. After the Alkaline Trio, the floor got more crowded, every seat was filled, and you knew that most people only showed up for the main act.

They played, (in no particular order)

Stuff is Messed Up
Bad Habit
You're Gonna Go Far, Kid
Come Out and Play
Walla Walla
Have You Ever
Staring at the Sun
Gone Away (Dexter on Piano Only)
Kristy Are You Doing, Okay?
Half Truism
Why Don't You Get a Job?
All I Want
Americana
Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)
(Can't Get My) Head Around You
The Kids Aren't Alright

Encore: (In Order)
Hammerhead
Want You Bad
Self-Esteem

I might be missing something, but I don't think so. Anyways, the pit was alive, the crowd was so into it, and it was a great concert. Being in a place that holds only 2,500 people really gets you the chance to be so much closer to the band. Such a memorable experience.

Highlights: During Walla Walla, a crewman came out and did the little, "I'm innocent, I didn't do it." part and that was pretty funny. During the intermission, they had a different crewman come out and do the hand waving thing and had a guy dressed up as Elvis on a pogostick dancing around, as well as having a juggler. Also they kicked beach balls around really had the crowd laughing.

It didn't matter what songs they played, I was just so happy to be there, and left with the biggest smile on my face. I also managed to leave with a tour poster and tour T-Shirt which are both pretty cool looking. Can't wait to see this band again!

Nice! ..man, I wanted to go to the Playboy Club after the show. (Since it's right next to the concert hall.) But, I was pretty damn worn out by the end of the show. I could have talked to Greg K dammit! lol

anyone knows the setlist for phoenix??

gdogg47
06-02-2009, 12:21 AM
It was the same in Phoenix as the previous ones posted. No Half-truism. Dexter played only Gone Away on piano and then they took it away and the whole band played Kristy next.

SIFU
Bad Habit
YGGFK
Come Out and Play
Walla Walla
Have You Ever
Staring at the Sun
Gone Away (Dexter on piano only)
Kristy Are You Doing Ok?
Gotta Get Away
Can't Get My Head Around You
Intermission
Americana
All I Want
Why Don't You Get a Job?
Pretty Fly for a White Guy
The Kids Aren't Alright
Encore
Hammerhead
Want You Bad
Self Esteem

One or two in the order may be mixed up but those were the songs they played. Once again, a pretty generic list and my friends and I bitched about it cause we knew what it was gonna be before the show but once they came on it didn't matter what they played. It was so great to see them again. It was an awesome experience!!

Yeah, I was at the show too. The set list was pretty predictable, but jesus christ, they played well. Noodles was ON FIRE the entire time, and the band seemed to enjoy themselves. They played a shit-ton of Americana stuff, too, as you can tell by the set list.

I'll upload pictures sometime tomorrow. I just drove back to Tucson from Phoenix and I thought I was going to die because of how tired I am. I almost dozed off a few times on the interstate...

Also, kinda OT, The Street Dogs MAJORLY upstaged the Alkaline Trio. They put on a way better show, and the crowd was way more into it. If you are at a show where they are playing, I suggest really checking them out.

EDIT: You forgot to add Linus and Lucy (Charlie Brown theme) to the set list right before Gone Away. :p

I dont get it. They are essentially changing Half-Truism (the 4th single on RFRG) on the RFRG tour, with Gotta Get Away, Fix You and A Lot Like Me. Yet, they keep an Americana heavy set, with Walla Walla and Have You Ever. I understand some people like the Have You Ever-Staring at the Sun combo, but Half Truism is a great song live and Gotta Get Away should always be on their sets.
It's funny how we bitch about little things like this, but this tour is definitely their best performance in a long time. Incredible show. That video board really adds a lot too. Especially TKAA.
