Yeah, it's Offspring's tour, so their info will be the most accurate. Just check the tour section.

Are you serious? Why the hell would The Offspring ask a folk rock guy to open for them? Might as well have gotten a polka band. Ugh! At least he won't be at the show I'm going to. I get to enjoy Dropkick Murphys and Time Again. Not sure if I'll like Time Again because the few songs I've heard by them kinda suck.

Ahh, now I'm not so completely baffled by why they chose Frank Turner to tour with them. I see the connection. Anyway, I'm excited to see him. Checked out some of his stuff on myspace, and I liked it.

You think there might be a chance the Offspring know what they're doing? Anyway, I dig Frank Turner and will definitely be getting to the show in time for his set. I'll be spending Sum 41's set getting drunk at the bar, but whatever! I'll be there to have a good time, not to hate.

I've never understood people who get upset when a band/singer picks an opening artist that sounds a lot different than they do. I honestly find shows much more interesting when the opening acts are completely different genres than the main act... than when they're all the same.

I just pulled up Frank Turner's myspace, and this is really good. I dig it a lot... gonna check out more of his stuff.

Oh, and also:

Wtf? How is folk even remotely related to polka? Why would you compare that? Polka would be completely from left field, but folk and the music of the Offspring are NOT so vastly polar- there are bits of folk influence in songs off the last 3 Offspring records. Also you haven't even heard the guy, but you're upset? Click on his myspace, listen to "Long Live the Queen" and expand your horizons a bit.

So, Sum41 are NOT playing Starland? But ARE playing Roseland? Is this confirmed somewhere?

I really dislike them and don't want to see them (twice in a row, nonetheless), especially since I've already been stuck seeing them once as an opener. However, for whatever reason, my mens really likes them and wants to see them =(

There are shitty bands on every label. I wasn't stating any sort of preference there, I was just saying that he is on Epitaph.

And if anyone thinks being rude to an invited guest of the Offspring is punx, please allow me to be the first to wreck you in the pit.

Ha, this reminds me of when I saw Melissa Auf der Maur open for them in NYC in 2004. The crowd was just horrendous to her band. And Dexter and Noodles were standing right on the side of the stage bobbing their heads to the music, in support. I didn't like the music, myself, but I was just like "wow, everyone here is an asshole."
