What's your top soundtrack? Movie soundtrack, TV series, anything. I don't own many of them but the ones I've gotten really introduced me to some awesome bands.

Two of my faves are Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Album *:p* & the Cruel Intentions soundtrack.

Right now I'm working on playing "The Point of No Return" on the piano. The chords at the beginning are hard. >_>

I know.

Which did you like better? The movie was good, sort of tied some loose ends up, but the broadway version was more.... intense.

The soundtrack of Pie is cool, with songs by Aphex Twin, Roni Size and more drum & bass kind of music.

1.
I'm deeply in love with the soundtrack of "the Rock". yes, yes. been like that for years & years now & I'll always deeply love it, because I'm monogamous like that.

2.
"Phantom of the Opera" in Dutch. was a great, huge, big ass fan of it, when I was a tiny Isa. knew all the songs by heart. even went to the musical.

3.
"Matrix" soundtrack. it seriously kicks butt. the internet is odd about it; it could be by the Chemical Brothers, but also by Moby. I guess it's by Moby. it'd be his kind of thing to make soundtracks. it starts with some classical shit & then the most awesome beat kicks in. rar.

4.
"Evita". the Madonna & Antonio Banderas movie. man, I love it! (no matter if it's a terrible rip-off) & Antonio's accent is dreamy. *drop of drool hanging from chin*

5.
"Titanic". yes, I've got both two cd's of this movie. it's a combination of popular, modern classical music, that indicates what happens from time to time in the movie, with soothing & extremely relaxing music. I can even play the Irish songs on the cd on my violin, because I've listened to it -that- fucking much. the cd's are perfect for falling asleep, when you feel restless.

6.
the soundtrack of "Schindler's List". *tear* it's sooo bee-ootiful. it's very extremely overplayed by violinists, including by tons & tons of people I know, but I wouldn't ever touch the song with a finger. just listen to it & dream away.

7.
this is one, that doesn't really, REALLY count.
in "The Pianist" Szpilman (Adrien Brody) plays a Nocturne by Chopin, that I happen to find one of the most beautiful, wonderful, amazing pieces out there. it's magnificent & I'm not even a fan of Chopin. not at all even. you can also find it on the internet with the left hand played by a violin.

& I guess that's pretty much it.

I seriously highly doubt, you've ever even closely listened to both these cd's.
I wasn't at all talking about the Celine Dion-soundtrack, when it comes to Titanic (oh please god fucking NO) & I wasn't talking about Madonna's "DON'T CRY FOR ME, ARGENTINAAAAH" either.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread!!

- American pie 2 : cause it's got I want you bad in it!! And I don't know what the other music is, but I thought it was all pretty good.
- Orange county : Defy you was not the only good song on the soundtrack, but it was my favourite.
- Buffy the vampire slayer : I wouldnt listen to the bands if I was to fall across them by mistake, but I thought the soundtrack was pretty cool.
- The X-files : just the theme song itself is awesome, but they have good music in general, and the coolest thing is that in one of the episodes of season 1, they mention literally "you know that song, come out and play, by the offspring" How cool it was when I noticed that.

Haha darea you amaze me! "to be or not to be a fan". anyway, i agree x-file themes are grand.

I love the Gladiator soundtrack, as of course. And Chariots of Fire, too, Dr Zhivago, etc. All the grand Hollywood classics had those huge sountracks...
