So, lately I've become super-addicted to The Seldom Seen Kid, by the magnificently underrated Elbow. I strongly urge everyone here to obtain themselves a copy; be it legitimately or otherwise.

Anyway, not too long ago they played the album live for the BBC with the BBC orchestra and some London choir and it is, well, hair-pricklingly good. Click the link below and bask in its beauty - most notably the ending crescendo of The Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver, and the whole of One Day Like This.

I quite like Seldom Seen Kid, it's a great album.

My favorite songs off it are The Fix and Audience With the Pope, though. I'd have to agree that Elbow are one of the most underrated bands ever.

Very good band, haven't listened a lot to them yet but what I've heard is certainly promising.

I think I have their first album.. Or second album. One of their earlier ones. Maybe the next time I hit a record store I'll seek out this new one.

Turns out I had two of their middle-career albums. I recently bought their first album (Asleep in the Back).

Beautiful mellow stuff. I'd gladly fuck Guy Garvey (a lot).
