Has anyone bought it, and how do you think it compares to the original?

i bought it, a week after i got rf/rg, and that was th day it came out..

its pretty much as dexter said in that interview..
th originals weremt loud enuf, and the remastered is louder.
you can hear the bass easier, adn th vcals are more amplified i rekn.

ignition remastered is worth it, but remastered smash is just louder. i got both of them the day they came out along with rafrag.

It is well worth it. Just like the others I bought smash and ignition remastered along with rafrag. It basically makes ignition sound a little more modern. That and the new disc art and booklet are very nice if you are into that sort of thing.

Yep... I like both (the "original" edition and the "remastered" edition)

Best Buy didn't have the remastered editions when RAFRAG came out, so I just bought them a few months ago. As said, Ignition is the bigger improvement. The drums are the most notable thing about it, especially the hi hats and crashes. The whole thing is clearer.

I bought the remastered vinyls of both Smash and Ignition. They gave me codes so that I could download them on MP3 from Epitaphs website. I could give them away to someone, since I haven't used them because I have the CDs. Who whans some MP3s?

Also; I made a thread once with comparing sound files; http://www.offspring.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33326 But the file doesn't seem to be there anymore.

I have Ignition remastered and I can hear more treble on the drums. Other than that it just sounded a tad louder to me.

I bought it yesterday but haven't really had a chance to listen to it too well. I listened to it on my DVD player (through my TV and huge ass speakers) and couldn't really see a difference. Maybe if I listen to it on my PC through my headset I can.

The main difference that I can tell is that it's much louder. On the non-remastered, I need to crank it just so it's normal listening volume. I dont with the remaster.

This. I've downloaded both versions and that's the only different, really, that I can notice.

And by the way, wasn't the Remastered Smash album supposed to include a 32-page booklet? Wazzup with that?
