The King (of successful 80's family comedies) is Dead.

Seriously, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is like one of my all time favorite movies.

I don't think i've ever seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off in its entirety before. Weird.

The Breakfast Club was pretty rad, though.

You say that like you're expecting someone to disagree. Surely everyone likes that movie. Surely.

Ah, no. Glad to see you back, I've sure missed you.

I honestly have no idea if that was sarcasm or not. If only people would put warnings at the bottom of their post when being sarcastic so I'd know.

He did some great movies for sure. They pretty much make up my childhood.

For like 3-4 years straight, every day that I pretended to be sick to stay home from school, Ferris Bueller was on Comedy Central. If I stayed home when I was ACTUALLY sick, it never aired.

oooh it's not shit at ALL ! both Home Alone are great. 1st one is better.

I like Breakfast Club too.

Does anyone just can't help relating John Hughes to Kevin Smith ? Everytime I hear John Hughes, I think about Silent Bob and Dogma.

I suck at typing.

It doesn't look like a typographical error. That would look more like "Jonh Hughes" or something. I contend that you in fact did not know how to spell his name and I will be expecting a timely confession followed by a heartfelt apology.

Maybe it was an experiment, ya know? Perhaps I wanted to see how many people would, in turn, misspell it, following what seems to be a simple typographical error. Rather than check the spelling themselves, they'd prefer to trust my title and assume that since I posted his death first, I must have read an article about him and clearly then I would know how to spell his name correctly, so they think I'm a reliable source, even though time and time again, my posts are fraught with basic spelling errors.

I'm useless without the auto-spell check my mac provides me on any program or website through which I choose to venture (SEE: any post I make at work).

I even occasionally have been known to misspell my own name.

Social proof is cool.
