0230.EM.Offspring - Part 1
September 9, 2009 2:40 PM
Dexter and Noodles came in the office to talk and Dexter brought his parents. His dad was born in Toronto and moved to California as a kid but whenever The Offspring play here, he tries to come up with his wife to catch up with friends and relatives. It just so happened that while they were here, Mr. and Mrs. Holland wanted to see their boy interviewed by Exploremusic. Okay.

0231.EM.Offspring - Part 2
September 10, 2009 2:11 PM
The Offspring was formed back in 1984 in Huntington Beach, California. Everyone was in high school including Noodles, but he wasn't a student; he was one of the janitors. Dexter and Greg kept meeting him at punk shows and got him to buy them beer. And now, 35 million albums later, The Offspring is 25 years deep into a career. Dexter and Noodles were in the office recently and for some reason, we started talking about Dexter's airplanes.

That's awesome. I knew his Dad was born in Canada, but didn't realise that he was born in TO.

AHHH! Finally it makes sense. I never got why they'd ask him to be in the band just to buy them beers. Looks like here that he bought them booze, and THEN they asked him to join up because he was cool.

I love finding out stuff I never knew about Offy.

Well it's good now since the OHNM archive was taken down for legal reasons or somthing. (I know they have said they are working on bringing it back)

I know in Southern Ontario The Edge (102.1) has it on sunday at 9am, and Monday at 11PM; and Y108 (107.9) has the previous show that was the Edge the week before at 10PM Sunday. Along with a few other Ontario stations. So you have many options to listen to the show online or on the radio.

Oh really? Well I didn't know that, I've never really listened to it on the internet, just if it's on the radio. I'm not sure of the times here, I know there's more than this one but I can only remember it being on at like 1AM on Tuesdays.
