I've seen pictures of the past of the Offspring, i think in 2000, playing in a gigantic stadium, that looked to be sold out.

I cant seem to find those pictures again, or any info about the concert. ANyone have any links to pictures or the name of the concert?

I heard it was when they played with Ac/dc ? If so are there any videos?

They played the Milton Keynes bowl in 2001 with AC/DC, QOTSA and Megadeth. Milton Keynes bowl holds about 70,000 people. The tour was worldwide and was called the stiff upper lip tour. xx

they were on just before acdc - you think they would be above the other bands on festival bills these days

09-22-2009, 01:46 PM
I don't think many bands get to play above AC/DC! xx

Yes they were, here's proof and a review, although the reviewer doesn't seem to like the offspring very much

What was The Offspring's largest concert? I mean their solo concert?
Where and when was it?

"The AC/DC show was fucking awesome. What a big-time Rock spectacle that was. It was our first time experiencing anything like that. We were afraid that an AC/DC crowd might not get what we were about, but they were great for us and we really had a good time on that stage. Then we went out to watch the legends do their thing. Fucking-A! (Spell-check just accepted the word fucking-a) I thought I worked hard on stage every night, Hah! Angus is a fucking MADMAN! The guy never stops, and the rest of the band is right there with him. They have statues, blow-up dolls, cannons, fire works, huge TV screens, and one big ass bell. I felt like that Chris Farley character from Saturday Night Live, the one who interviews Paul McCartney, "Sooo Aaawwsome!" We've got two more shows with them. I can't wait!"

Enjoy! :)

That is pure ridiculousness! It's amazing to think that that many people are there to see AC/DC or Offspring on that particular day, in that particular city. I wonder how many people are there.

AC/DC + The Offspring would be a dream concert for me.

Enjoy! :)

Cool, but the first couple of pics are from the gig at the Stade de France in Paris and not from Milton Keynes. :)

Was AC/DC the headliner? If the Offspring played right before AC/DC, that's called "direct support" which is pretty much the choice slot to be in when you're opening for another band. So that would put them above the other bands on the bill.

Yes it was an AC/DC tour.
Megadeth played first then QOTSA then the Off spring and then AC/DC
