Introduction:

In the very beginning there were 3 friends (2 of them are brothers), Igor, Florjan and Ambrož, who were playing together. But there was no real progress, and that group dissolved due to members being busy with other things, mainly school. Things started moving again in october 2008, when i (Rok aka Raptor88, lead guitar, backing vocals) met Florjan, the drummer, and told him i was looking for a few people to form a band, and he seemed interested. He notified his brother Ambrož (bass) and Igor (lead vocals, guitar), who liked my song ideas a lot, and in january or february 2009 we started practising. That was the birth of The Redestructed (although at that point we were still unnamed, we finally choose the name in summer). At first we played at a few small parties, and in the fall we started off with some proper concerts.

musical style & influences:

we play mainly '90s style punk rock (ala The Offspring, Social Distortion, Pennywise, NOFX,..,), mixed with grunge elements (Nirvana and Alice In Chains being the main grunge influences).

Since we haven't released any songs yet, here's a teaser for our upcoming demo (which will hopefully be released sometime in december), so you can hear how our music sounds like:

You can hear a short clip of Self-Destruction, and at the very end of the video the intro of Semper Fi (which is a slow-middle tempo grunge song)

Congratulations! I hope we'll hear more of the material from the promo-video soon since it sounds super awesome:)
Also, you are the first slovenian artist to bring this prestigious award home, so your country can be proud of you;)

Congrats Rok ... a honour that is well deserved  Your demo completely rocks and I can see great things in your future if you keep this up and not let it fall by the way side :)

That being said, I have to add that your teasers drive me insane, but I think you already know that :D

The release dates are getting nearer...

edit: the first song's release might be only a fwe days away... But i'm not sure which one it will be. Probably the one that'll be finished the first, as we've decided to release each song as soon as it's finished.

I just wanted to say that Semper Fi rocks about as hard as your other two songs. I think that my overall favourite of these three songs is Self-Destruction, though. It's just so damn energetic and I really like the guitar parts in that one.

Well, i wanted Self-Destruction to sound epic and energetic, i hope i achieved this...

Anyway, glad to see all the good responses, and it's also nice to see that none of the songs stands out as an absolute favorite to majority of people. So far all 3 songs had been somebody's favorite, about equally represented (Semper Fi might have had slightly better reaction, but not much). It's a sign we did our job well, that the songs are equally good, but are still different from eachother.

Oh, and we're already working on some new material...
