View Full Version : How to deal with snow???

This year is going to be especially bad for snow and stuff(I just have a feeling) and I don't think I can take it yesterday my mom wanted me to clean snow off her car and she puts the snow brush in the car so I couldn't use it so I tried to get on the trunk to clean the roof and I fell off and split a bit of the skin on my side and I smacked my face on the bumper. It still hurts and I don't want to be stuck in the cold. Last year seven states were in bad conditions due to the ice storm and this year(tomorrow will be one year since that terrible storm) the same weather pattern is starting again. Winter thunderstorms, which is really weird. I don't know how they can predict it but meteorologists are predicting another one this year. So to the other New Englanders: BRACE YOURSELVES! Charge your iPods. Keep batteries, candles and lighters handy!

His posts are way more interesting. You ask for the most obvious advice, there's a huge qualitative (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/qualitative) difference.

You're asking how to deal with snow, that's a stupid question and yes stupid questions do exist.

There's a process you need to go through in your head before you post. You need to think things like:

Is this really necessary to post?

Will people find this interesting?

Can't I figure out how to deal with snow myself, without having to ask people on an internet forum?

Okay... so it is Portugal but does it snow there? I am tired of Google so I don't use it often for info. I use books. I hate wikipedia!

it DOES but only in winter and only in the north region (or on top of some mountains)! (seriously!!)

I'm cool(ish), not really. But ask livrose95 or Dan M. or skitogg or ospringfan112113. They love me!

This sums up the list of people I don't like at the moment pretty accurately. Also, do you call 'AHAHAHAHAAH, I didn't know it even snowed in Portugal' a point worth of discussion? I don't.

There are 34,198 better members than those two. And I count all the Davo's and HAU's banned accounts, Trip Boys, Jack the Ripper, all the alternates and all incarnations of iPunk.

OK, I don't count Trip Boys. So it makes the number estimated at 34,154.

The total number of users on this BBS was exactly 34,200 when I wrote the post and there were like 50 Trip Boys and his imposters in the past. Count it.

Why would your Mom ask you to clean the car off, but she wouldn't let you use the brush? Doesn't make sense to me.

the last time the uk had a major snow storm, practically the whole london transport system grind to a halt even though the amount of snowfall wasnt even half as bad as what other countries regularly have! would be nice to have some this year again though!

what do snowstorms look like in other states? we always have tons of snow in winter, so snowstorms are just a regular thing. really cool too, how everything seems to disappear under a thick white blanket

The brush was inside the car so if I tried to get the brush it would go from on the car to in the car!

EDIT: I have no idea why she keeps the brush inside the car. That part doesn't make sense to me either!

Most people I know keep the brush in the car. I've never really had snow get in my car when trying to get the brush.

I don't know anyone that doesn't keep it inside the car. It's almost as if you've never had to deal with bad snow. You think it's bad there... pffft, come live in Canada for a while.

You mean, like when you have a snow cone with no flavor? I didn't realize that they had a snow cone problem up north. Here you have to drive all the way to the mall to get one. I guess they aren't indigenous up there so they reproduced rapidly in the wild. Your ecosystem is just not equipped to fight such rampant growth!

I'm actually suffering from snow-withdrawl... today I woke up to a very slight scattering of snow on some of the ground that was gone by noon. And this is the first snow I've seen all year. There's already been a couple feet of snow back in Minnesota... I'm a bit nostalgic.

I looooove snow. Totally going to the mountains for new years!!

My company only closes if a state of emergency is declared. Even then, they've stayed open in the past.

I agree, if you pick it from a place where no animals have been (like on your balcony/terrace if you have one) well its nice and refreshing:p

I was gonna say give us some of your snow for christmas please!

Most of the time I got a lot of icy snow,so when I get it in my front yard I just make some snowballs and throw them at the old people that walk by...
