If there are aliens with a similar reproductive process, is it ok for them to have abortions?

Why??? This is more pointless than any thread I have ever made but people here get mad at me! Why do all of your threads(most posts for that matter) have to do with abortions, sex, porn or alcohol?!

So many of your pointless points are to do with you asking why other people's posts aren't considered pointless.

I suppose aliens can reproduce but not so well. That is why they abduct women in their spaceships to creat human/alien hybrids. And also to create a race of slaves when they finally invade earth.

Also, Aliens create clones. That means they want to rush the process so they probably would be against abortions.

Because that's basically the best three things in life.

I disagree. This topic of discussion has the potential to be quite interesting. Many pro-life folk rely upon aspects such a the existence of a soul to justify their stance against stubbing out what is really just a bundle of cells (okay, so that's very early abortion, but the analogy can be scaled moderately well). Although opinion is changing in some areas, common consensus is that aliens would not have souls, as that rather fucks with the divinity of man and all that jazz. So a discussion on the moral implications of alien abortions is actually one of the better ways to tackle the subject.

This is an extremely valid point and I'm dissapointed that everyone who is otherwise very adament about their pro-life stance has nothing to say.

The Catholic Church's official position is that that if intelligent life outside of earth did exist, it would not contradict the bible. They had this alien summit in the Vatican with astronomers and physicists last year to discuss it.

Fr. Funes says that taking the image of the lost sheep in the Gospel, "we could think that in this universe there can be 100 sheep, equivalent to different kinds of creatures. We, belonging to human kind could be precisely the lost sheep, the sinners that need the shepherd. God became man in Jesus to save us. In that way, assuming that there would be other intelligent beings, we could not say that they need redemption . They could have remained in full friendship with the Creator."

"But if they were sinners?" L'Osservatore's journalist asks.

"Jesus became man once and for all. The Incarnation is a single and unique event. So I am sure that also they, in some way, would have the chance to enjoy God's mercy, just as it has happened with us human beings."

That's why I said that opinion is changing in some areas. But it's more the matter of whether aliens have souls / Original Sin / etc. that is relevant to this topic, which isn't necessarily implied or accepted by those who don't have a problem with aliens existing.

If you try to abort them their acidic blood will kill the host.

Human fetuses are total pussies in comparison.

Prove to me the existence of aliens. I choose to be defiant in the face of immaterial proof.

All we have is statistical probability, obviously. It's not really anything to argue about.
