Here's an intersting story. Man makes video for youtube, man goes to hollywood, makes pots of money and a movie deal. This short film was made on a $300 dollar budget, and wow. He uploaded this to youtube on a thursday, and by monday his inbox was filled with email from hollywood deals. Those special effects blew me away.

The name of the short filme is called Ataque de Panico (Panic Attack), and was created by Fede Alvarez.
Check it our here (http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/buzzlog-uruguay-to-hollywood.html).

With Paranormal Activity and now this, I'm feeling like getting my camera and trying out my own luck, haha.

Yeah, i heard about this already.

The short film is fantastic. I hope Sam Raimi does it justice.

On the side note, the thread title makes it sound like it's one long ass panic attack...

Justin Bieber did almost the same thing. He posted videos of himself singing on YouTube and was discovered by a music producer and was instantly famous! Justin is only about my age. Maybe younger!

I saw that last night. It really is pretty amazing quality. The future of movie making is going to be pretty damn interesting. If you can get that kind of quality for basically no cost it's going to really take the elitism out of it.
